Phew, that wasn't easy...

...I had a hard time registering here, but I'm happy to finally be able to log in and contribute.

So, hello then!

My name is heidl and I'm 34yrs old and I live in the wonderful small country called Austria.

I guess I'll just tell how I came to be a John Williams fan.

At the age of six I had just seen Return of the Jedi on my neighbor's television, and it blew my mind! I became a big Star Wars fan (as possibly every kid in that age) and so my father went out to get me the radio play on cassette tape. But instead he unintentionally bought me an ominous little thing with a blue lightsaber on it... and well, the rest is history.

I quickly became addicted and I still am today. Whenever I feel the urge to list my favourite composers, Williams is always the first. Followed by James Newton Howard, Thomas Newman, Michael Giacchino and James Horner.

But I basically like all kinds of film music!. For example, I equally love The Elder Scrolls by Jeremy Soule as well as almost everything from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

My second passion about film music is cover art.

I run a little blog called HQCovers where I design and publish custom made soundtrack covers. An I've seen you do have a thread for this particular topic as well, so I think I know where I'll be heading first... ;)

Glad to be here! :)

We're taking bets on how long you stick around.

Not the best way to greet a new member!

A joke is more pleasant than weighing his opinion based on the little number below his name, especially if the they're off by about 70,000. You follow?

I misread that as Heidi.

Pity.

Well, welcome I guess....

Everybody does at first, so no problem ;)

What problems did you have with registering?

I had a hard time figuring out that I'm supposed to enter "Star Wars Episode VII" into the challenge question field, as you can see here: https://www.facebook.com/JohnWilliamsFan/posts/791633817574774

Also my Hotmail didn't receive any activation mail at all, not in the spam folder either, so I switched to gmail instead.

We're taking bets on how long you stick around. So welcome for now.

What are the odds? I may join in then.

The Price is Right Mountain Climber Song:

Yeah, despite that being Swiss, that's actually the way we communicate here in Austria.

You know... like from one mountain top to the next.

Just like in Return of the King, but with the alpine horn instead of fire (we haven't invented that yet).

I am in fact dictating this post to Siri using my alpine horn right now.

:groupwave::groupwave::groupwave:

Oh, it's Heidl .... sigh

Oh god, I gotta start Photoshop... ;)

To be honest, thanks for the warm welcome everyone. And the kudos. And yes, of course I'm taking requests. I contribute where I can.
