It's cool that playing with Russell Garcia was among his earliest professional studio musician gigs and then a decade later they were both featured composers on that great Stan Kenton album (Williams' "Prelude and Fugue" and Garcia's "Adventure in Emotion")

I’m interested in Williams’s piano on To Kill a Mockingbird, but it was removed from this disco.

Isn’t this release the original recording?

To Kill A Mockingbird

No, this is a remastered version of the re-recording, which was also conducted by Elmer Bernstein. It was recorded on January 30 and February 4, 1963 for ÄVA Records and featured Raymond Turner and Caesar Giovannini on piano. (https://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.8567/.f?sc=13&category=-113)

The recording sessions for the original film score were already done in September & October, 1962. John Williams played piano in these sessions that have not been released so far.

The original film recording has never been released anywhere on any format

None of the re-recordings that have been released feature John Williams
