Hmm. Yes, that does look nice, Alex. What cartridge would you put with it, and would you have a power supply?

Someone is selling a Thorens like that on a Belgian/Dutch auction site. He's asking 400 Euro for it (with original Thorens arm & cartridge). The one from the pic above has a more fancy SME 3009 II tone arm & cartridge. 400 Euro is a good price (especially compared to ebay prices) but I don't need it. I just love the design.

I prefer the lighter, Nordic color of this one, Steef. Too bad the dust cover is dark tinted. Turntables are way more beautiful with non-tinted dust covers.

Anyone fan of these custom made Lenco L75 turntables? You buy an old (legendary) Lenco L75 and you put it in your own plinth.

Over the years, speakers have become smaller and thinner because people didn't like how it destroyed the look of their living room. But to be honest, I don't understand that at all.

Big speakers enhance the living room!

I feel prehistoric. I’m still using the same audio / stereo equipment I had about 12-14 years ago, that’s when I got my first DTS 5.1 A/V receiver.

I still have my first DVD player, it’s 20 years old and still works fine.

Mine’s a Panasonic and it plays DVD-A.

I also have an older up convert Pioneer DVD player that plays SACD’s as well.

My Blu-Ray player is a Sony.

My very first CD player was a Phillips, bought in 1986. The first CD I ever bought was ZOOLOOK. It sounded phenomenal then; it sounds phenomenal now.

My first actual DVD player was a Pioneer one from 2000 that had a karaoke feature on it. It eventually burnt out.

Its a shame that karaoke hasn't.
