It's like sitting in a cockpit of an airplane/aeroplane. Perhaps that's the reason why these retro amps are back in vogue?

Looks like my parents old Kenwood setup from the 70’s.

Of course, but I haven't had the opportunity to test it. I'm also wondering about the load time of the discs. On some new players it's up to ten seconds, which I find terribly annoying.

It'll probably be this or Marantz' CD6006.

Link please?

Aesthetically speaking, Marantz only fits with Marantz. I've never liked their design, but it's what's under the hood that's important. And if I'm not getting the Pioneer CD player, I'll probably stick with my old Nad C350 amp. It also looks way more audiophile with ugly components that don't match each other! :)

Well, I like this one. Someone in my town is selling it. Used to be super expensive, but now that it's many years old, it's way more affordable of course.

Around 2000 Euro. There were cheaper versions, but this one was the most expensive edition because it was tuned by Ken Ishiwata, hence the KI signature.
