It pains me to say that as a great fan of Giacchino's work and especially coming out of 2015 which was his strongest year ever in my opinion. Don't get me wrong there are some very fun tracks here with great orchestrations but the themes are just weak and it can feel like a slog sometimes to listen to. I'm still really looking forward to Star Trek Beyond however!
