Will 2,215
There's some music in this Spanish TV spot we haven't heard before. It's not much, so it's hard to tell, but does anyone here think it's Williams? I'm not really sure. We hear that flute melody that has been confirmed to be from a Williams-composed film cue; but is the little bit of new material simply by a trailer music house to act as a "continuation" of Williams' composition, or is it more of Williams' score? Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,488
Sounds synthy.
Not Mr. Big 4,639
That theme is still doing nothing for me. I hope it isn't one of the main themes of the movie.

Marcus 390
My hunch is that all the music we hear is culled from different sections of the same concert arrangement, but then cut up and reassembled to fit the trailer/spot.It's most likely Rey's theme. I think it'll be one of the main themes - already had it stuck in my head, and I can't wait to hear Williams' play with it. Sounds like it's got a lot more to give than we hear in the short trailer snippets.Definitely.
Jay 37,336
Well, it now seems quite clear that this started as a Williams theme, but the performance in both trailers is totally re-done and trailer-ized by one of those trailer houses. The core theme seems fine, but I don't care for this performance of it

TheUlyssesian 2,475
This is Rey's theme right. It will probably the most major new theme seeing as it is the only one getting an individual concert suite track. This might be the Across The Stars of TFA. Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,488
This might be the Across The Stars of TFA.So, kinda cloying, but a cool b section in the concert arrangement and nice statements scattered throughout the score. Popular Post TheUlyssesian 2,475
I mean a wondrous dazzling new theme of immense scope and spectacular instrumentation that stands out as the most glorious highlight of a fantastic new Williams score. Taikomochi 1,136
Honestly, this sounds like the exact same piece of music as the other TV spot, but sped up and slightly rearranged in structure. It just sounds a bit faster and pitched up.
leeallen01 2,135
Sounds nothing like Williams to me. Too generic to be him.

leeallen01 2,135
I'll deal with it when I hear Rey's actual theme. This is so trailerised and cliche that it may as well scream RCP Jacck
Dixon Hill 4,234
What about all the RCP composers, past and present, who write distinctive and enjoyable music? Does it scream them?

Dixon Hill 4,234
I agree. It's a tune that a skilled composer would come up with.
