Conrad Pope comments on LOTR scores

Pope was hired to do a job professionally and efficiency and he did so.

 

He wasn't hired to gush over Shores music as if it was the second coming. Thats why we have Doug Adams.

 

Pope is perfectly entitled to his professional opinion.

Although, and I say this with the comfort of anonymity, the "professional" part of professional opinion is sometimes curiously elided by Pope.  He's a great guy and is for the most part classy, but sometimes he raises my eyebrows.

Because Pope speaks of somebody else's work.
