Well, after Planet Earth II, here comes Blue Planet II narrated as always by Sir David Attenborough and guess who's composed the music ? Same people

EDIT : And am I the only one around here who actually likes the planet earth II soundtracks ?  Not all of it that's sure but some of it.

Well, track 1 just meanders without any apparent hook or theme.

 

Is this what even the BBC's flagship scoring has come to? Zimmer is infecting everything. Sawhney's Human Planet, and Phillip Sheppard's Human Universe were way better than this.

I'm sure it will work amazingly with the picture. That being said, I felt that Planet Earth II had some truly great pieces with different themes and orchestrations.

So that's why Zimmer and Bleeding Fingers were hired in the first place. Just like what most people (jokingly) expected. Music seems fine enough, but that's disappointing to read.

Planet Earth II is the latest thing to get the live in concert treatment at the Royal Albert Hall, this time with Jessica Cottis conducting the BBC Concert Orchestra.  Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
