Happy Birthday maestro Morricone! 88 years young! :)

So happy to be attending a concert on the 30th here at Helsinki with Morricone himself conducting.

The correct phrase is:

Happy Birthday! = Buon compleanno!

"Buon anniversario" can be used for wedding anniversaries, formal occasion etc.

I must admit my italian is a bit old-fashioned, but it's also correct no?

I'm Italian and BUON ANNIVERSARIO can be used only for wedding anniversaries, ok? :)

I thought in Spanish Happy Birthday was "Feliz cumpleaños." Do native speakers say something different?

Well it's maybe the form usually used for wedding anniversaries too!

Just tell me your age and the conversation will be closed. ;)

I'm young, but I believe that even fifty years ago it was said "Buon compleanno" for "Happy Birthday" and "Buon anniversario di matrimonio" for "Happy wedding anniversary"

Come on, guys, we've been through this before: it's pronounced "Djiatchino"!

Giacchino ---> Dijakkino (if I understood correctly what you mean)

Happy birthday to the greatest composer who ever lived!

You forgot the word "italian" between "greatest" and "composer". :sarcasm:
