Here in the states I know him more than anything for his ubiquitous TV ads for local "ambulance chaser" law firms.

 

"Tell the insurance company you mean business. Call the law firm of Marks & Harrison"

 

(it was always Marks & Harrison where I grew up but he did them for firms all over the country)

I've always confused Robert Vaughn with Robert Wagner (who is very much alive), but either way -- sorry to hear this.

 

As usual, I search for Williams connections when someone in the film biz dies, and find it in THE TOWERING INFERNO, an episode of CHECKMATE and -- if you count it, seeing as there was no direct involvement from Williams -- SUPERMAN III.

Last thing I have seen him in was the British TV series Hustle but seems he was actively working up until the very end.
