He’s made more than 300 films about some of the greatest movies of all time, from Ben Hur to Jaws, and has collaborated with everyone from Stephen King and Michael Crichton to George Lucas and Roman Polanski. Yet few have heard of this ‘making-of’ director extraordinaire.

Laurent has been literally living out his - and everyone else’s - dreams for the past 35 years or so. He gets to see how the magic happens in Hollywood, with full access to the sets, directors, cast and crew. This means mixing with Spielberg, DiCaprio, Hanks, Lucas and many more. His phone book would probably fetch millions on eBay.

Woah, we got an awesome new Williams story!

“Years later, working together on Jaws, John said to Steven, here’s the theme for Jaws: ‘Dum, dum… dum dum… da da da’. Steven replied: ‘Very funny’. But John insisted that was it. Fortunately, Steven trusted him and that theme went on to be iconic.”

Ah this is the guy who was involved in the re-release of Close Encounters, E.T., Jaws and Indiana Jones scores.Tell me again how did that work out for us.

Bouzereau really has a dream job as a film documenterian. That photo of Spielberg and Williams alone is pretty enviable. :)

That's putting it mildly. I've had literal dreams about that very situation (both being my favourites within each craft).

Has Will turned 15?  Let's get him wasted!

By 15 he's surely already had his first can in a field!

It worked out great for us. Because we got legit expanded scores of a fair number of Spielberg/Williams classics or indeed decades before the labels were able to get to them.

Not al all. Remember the format used now by the labels is one that only really became the norm in the mid to late 2000's.

Laurents releases were all done by quite mainstream labels, who didn't necessarily know or care that there were people out there who wanted every note. Williams himself certainly didn't know.
