JNHFan2000 2,944
Was just listening to Mancina's second Planes score (which are both great btw) He wrote a comedic march for some characters and it's very familiar to the start of a very famous theme from another animated film. Those tubas are crazily alike! Spoiler Mancina Powell (0:30) Jay, Trope and Luka 2

GerateWohl 4,345
Oh boy! I was wondering for weeks what the melody line at the beginning of Desplat's Lily's Theme from HP and the Deathy Hallows reminded me of. Yes, my guess went in direction of Prokofiev, but not a piece I have on album. I had the melody in my head and I thought it was maybe some film score. But today I remembered, it was this: That is what I hear, when I listen to the first notes of this: ... before after the fist five notes it moves to Scarborough Fair: Anyway a gig mishmash. But that part from the Sting song really bothered me now for some time. And I know, Sting credited this part as "borrowed" from Prokofiev, but I don't have the original at hand.
