Which are your favorite "conspiratorial" music pieces?

"Conspiratorial," in the broadest sense. Doesn't have to be from John Williams.

Some of my favourites...

1. The Conspirators (JFK)

2. Dennis Steals the Embryos (Jurassic Park)

3. The Plot (Mission Impossible)

4. Ludlow's Speech (The Lost World)

5. Everybody Runs! (Minority Report)

6. The Ellsberg Break-in and Watergate (Nixon)

7. Theme from Mission Impossible

8. Nicaragua (Under Fire)

A Conspiracy Unmasked (The Fellowship of the Ring, Shore)  (OK, not really a "conspiratorial" piece, but, hey, the title fits!)

Palpatine's Seduction (Revenge of the Sith, Williams)

Kazim's Theme (Sahara, Mansell)

The Abduction (The Silence of the Lambs, Shore)

I've Known Everything (House of Cards, Beal)

Infiltration (Die Hard with a Vengeance, Kamen)

The Fight (American Gangster, Streitenfeld)

Capricorn One is a JG soundtrack that I don't have yet!

I just put it on my wishlist.

I don't know any of these, except Palpatine's Seduction.

But looks great!

Damn those first 5 tracks you listed are great works!

Exactly!

If THE CONSPIRATORS is fully justified at #1, then the rest are damn good follow-ups.

Can anybody think of other great ones? Maybe from Jerry Goldsmith?

I'd certainly include THE MINE, as a fine, creeping example if the insidious nature of big business.

Damn, but this is brilliant!!

Those "urgent" strings at 2:14, soaring high above the brass...masterful. I f***ing miss this man's musical presence, more with each passing day.

In fact I'm :music: DOCKING (OST). Snakelike, low, and growling, it's like a prowling tiger.

This is just second to none. It's just great, and it never gets old. In this video, I especially like the cues at the 0:43 and 1:00 marks.

Whenever a flashback starts, JW does something "interesting" with the orchestra.... :D

Great examples above. I would like to add Black Sunday with its suspenseful conspirator music. I love the little repeating figure obsessively weaving through the score.

The real conspiratorial piece from Under Fire would be "Betrayal".

I really love this too. Especially from 2:47 onward. Not frightening or over the top, but so mysterious, secretive (conspiratorial?), and a bit spooky. JW always hits the perfect note....
