Will 2,215
.... with some important catches, including not being able to watch the same movie more than once (unless you pick a different movie and sneak in, I guess) and not being able to buy tickets online in advance. http://variety.com/2017/film/news/moviepass-explainer-advantages-drawbacks-pros-cons-1202528720/ The website appears to be down right now. I may consider getting this just for December (it appears to be month-to-month and you can cancel at any time), with both The Last Jedi and The Papers coming and $10 being, IIRC, less than just one regular ticket. However, the two caveats I listed above are some really big sticking points. Also, AMC is threatening to remove the service from its theaters. That won't really affect me, but some of you may want to keep it in mind.
Simon McBride 113
Is there a list of theaters somewhere?
Manakin Skywalker 4,850
I'd get it, but I only go to the theater maybe once a year at most as the vast majority of recent films do not interest me. Will

There might be one on the site, but the site's down right now as I said in my post so I don't know. However, according to the Variety article, as of now AMC and Regal are included (among others), while ArcLight, for example, is not.
Manakin Skywalker 4,850
I doubt mine would accept them anyway, as it's a local theater and not part of a chain.
Faleel 5,278
Apparently the restriction is you can only watch a film once that day.
mrbellamy 6,235
Not much of a restriction for most people. Will and Manakin Skywalker
Manakin Skywalker 4,850
Yeah, I don't think many people watch more than one film a day. Most people I know don't even watch one film a week. Like I said in my above comment, I only watch maybe one movie a year.
Bryant Burnette 654
Good luck getting studios to sign off on that. Or exhibitors, for that matter.
Arpy 4,145
Cinemas are desolate places these days. Here in Australia, you purchase your tickets and seats and if you're seeing the film outside of the opening weekend, you'll find the place is a dead zone. I could walk into any screen and watch the film without worrying about taking someone's reserved seat. I think this is a great idea to get people to come back if all it cost was $10 a month! Manakin Skywalker 4,850
My theater's so bad they don't even take reservations anymore. Just walk in, pay $10, and sit anywhere.

Why not? We have movie passes over here.
