Fuck's sake. Time flies...

EDIT: Though I guess I could still say it was Good Luck Little Sister. ;)

I figured that would be your favourite R1 unreleased FYC cue

Does anybody know why Disney has two separate awards consideration sites?

Several of the other studios have similar set-ups (e.g., Paramount), where one contains less information than the other.  Some of the stuiods classify then as a "screenings" site (less information and seems to concentrate on the schedule of screenings and contact information for eligible voters) and a "guild" site (more information, often includes downloadable music).  The first Disney link above seems to be the "screenings" site, whereas the second link is the "guild" site.

Netflix is a perfect example, actually:

http://awards.netflix.com/ ("screenings" site)

vs.

http://guilds.netflix.com/ ("guilds" site, features downloadable music)

It's just funny because both of those pages have the same information, just with a different background, more or less

They don’t work with download managers due to the special characters, so you will have to grab them individually. The links are still active.

EDIT:  @FrankV, I have updated the links to these five files, as well as cue 7, with more user-friendly/HTML-compliant versions.  Please try them again.

EDIT #2:  As @FrankV points out above, cues 4, 6, 16, 17, and 29 are no longer accessible from the Coco FYC site (they won't play from the score page).  Someone modified the links and screwed them up.  BUT, the correct links are provided in my main post of this thread.  I just confirmed that all 38 files download correctly.

The FYC of War for the Planet Apes by Giacchino is floating around the internet and it's a 2CD album that is basically the complete score of the movie. I really hope he gets at least a nomination because that score was fantastic.

LESS SCORE AVAILABLE

Paramount Pictures

  • Downsizing (Rolfe Kent) [39 cues, 56:23]

The original "29.mp3" file ("Getting It On") was removed by Paramount, and the subsequent MP3 file names were reduced by one, though the "Title" tags were not updated (e.g., what was "30.mp3" is now "29.mp3", but its "Title" tag still reads "30").

Does anyone know where I can get track 1 for Bright?

And know why it isn't included here?

No and no.  Not sure what track 1 might have been (possibly a song and not a score cue?) but it was never offered on the Netflix FYC site AFAIK.

A couple of the other Netflix offerings are "missing" tracks as well.

I opened up the Disney FYC site on my phone and noticed something:

Seems there is a download the score option, so I guess they don't mind?

I mean they have started putting the score out on Youtube,

If that isn't giving it out for free, nothing is.

LINK UPDATE ONLY

Walt Disney

  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi (John Williams) [Individual MP3 file links now defunct; roundabout links have been added which may require a file download add-on for your browser (e.g., "DownThemAll" for Firefox); files 4, 9, and 19 may require multiple download attempts]

The other Disney FYC score pages have similarly been changed, and I will update them when I can (but probably won't be until the weekend).

  • 4 weeks later...

Looks like three of the Oscar-nominated scores have updated FYC pages with all-new music! Phantom Thread is brand new, while the Fox Searchlight scores are updates.

Phantom Thread - Jonny Greenwood:

So, is there any way to download one of these cues in higher quality than 96kbps?

Referring to Phantom Thread, the answer is no, not from the FYC site.  You'd have to get your hands on the FYC CD itself or a rip thereof.

BTW, the MP3s from the FYC site are also sampled at 32 kHz instead of 44.1 kHz for some reason.
