Really? Like not even to yourself when you accidentally stub a toe on something?

Nope. I've never really felt a need too. Faux cursing is enough for me I guess

I think it's healthy to not drink, smoke, take drugs etc. if that's something that doesn't interest you, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with "swearing."  I'm raising my kids to be completely comfortable with these words that are just dumb words.  Now I'm going to try and teach them to not use them to directly insult people, but they are incredibly useful for expressing frustration.  It's a stupid fucking stigma is what I'm saying.

I honestly see no point in swearing at all. Even if you're frustrated, that's really not a good excuse to go shouting off vulgar expressions. All it does is show others how crude and indecent you can be. There are much better ways of blowing off steam.

I'm saying the stigma of seeing them as crude is silly.  What on earth is inherently crude about saying "Shit!" versus "Shoot!"?  Absolutely nothing.

Yes. Its instinctive. And usually quite harmless.

To me it's no different than hypocritical, puritanical stigmas about sexuality.  It helps nobody to deny instincts that don't hurt other people.

Well, on one hand, you have an obscene synonym for excrement, and on the other, you have a slight modification of said word that I, and most people, believe is harmless to say.

I don't think words like frick, shoot, darn, and heck are curse words, I use them occasionally; I do, however, acknowledge that they are slight variations of worse words, which when spoken in their entirety, could lead to you coming off as immature and crude in public. Everyone has their own standard, I just personally refrain from swearing.
