Holko 9,516
Pretty standard list, no particular order: Airplane!, Blazing Saddles, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, Young Frankenstein I took the question as pure comedies or movies that are comedies first and foremost. Wojo 2,453
Pretty respectable list. I could agree with all those.
Josh500 1,615
Hmm, I realized that I'm not a big fan of comedies... I watch them sometimes, if I have nothing better to do, but generally I don't much care for them. I prefer action, mystery, horror, science fiction, fantasy, and even love stories (so pretty much everything else) over comedies. That said, I like these comedies. Home Alone (and Home Alone 2) When Harry Met Sally The Burbs The Terminal Pink Panther
Brundlefly 2,385
The Big Lebowski Inherent Vice Burn After Reading Life of Brian Gremlins I don't like pure comedy movies that much, because they're often too much over the top and lack a certain amount of substance. I love intelligent movies with a huge amount of comedy on top! Josh500

Brundlefly 2,385
I like in general the Coen Brother's subtle, subversive humour that is often deeply connected to their philosophy and hence sometimes quite disturbing. Joe Dante's over-the-top-depiction of over-the-top-material can be hilarious and in addition to that his movies full of clichés and exaggerations can contain a big load of satire as well. And let's not forget Tim Burton's talent to connect death and cruelty with humour and colour.
