Which JW theme would you like to have expanded into a concert arrangement?

JW is usually very good at singling out themes which deserve a more fulfilled arrangement if not given in the movie, like (finally) Marion's theme.

My nomination for an extended treatment is Qui-Gon's Funeral.

To be super clear, I'm referring to themes which only exist as "incomplete" arrangements.

Great question. Qui-Gon's Funeral would be cool... so would Qui-Gon's theme! I always loved that theme and wished it was used more.

I know a lot of people here would have liked a concert version of Tintin's theme.

I wish he would have released Irina's Theme and Window to the Past on their respective original albums. But at least concert versions do exist. The same goes for Jedi Steps I suppose, although Lockhart's recording is satisfying.

That would be cool. With all his variations on the Imperial March interspersed!

What the IMperail March has to do to with The THeme Force??? No, I want a 100 % LIght Side arrangement of the Force Theme, with a beginning and an end.

11 mins. of the same theme? No need another theme for the sake of variation.

See edit in my previous post.

I still think a grand good vs. evil arrangement of the Force Theme and the Imperial March would have been fantastic!

If you edit together your 11 min. of the Force Theme, I'll edit together an extended version of Qui-Gon's Funeral.

Isn't The Adventures of Tintin kind of Tintin's theme?

That has existed since 1980.

That CD is essential if you don't have it yet.

Williams recorded it with the Boston Pops in 1980.

Here's Kunzel with the Cincinnati Pops

Not to mention that it exists on both the Rhino and the FSM release of the original score.

But has he ever written a concert version of a theme for a sequel, when the theme was already established in an earlier film?

Well it wasn't really for the movie, but he did wait until the time around Crystal Skull to write an arrangement of "Marion's Theme"

That's the only example I can think of.

Actually, when was the Throne Room concert arrangement written?

Considering Gerhardt and Mehta recorded it in '78, right around the same time as the original score surely

Yeah, I can't picture a new concert version of an existing theme appearing on a sequel OST. It's lucky we got Jedi Steps via Lockhart's recording.

There's a first time for everything. If he develops Poe's theme further in the sequels, then maybe...
