BEST FILMS OF 2017

1. War for the Planet of the Apes

2. Baby Driver

3. Get Out

4. John Wick: Chapter 2

5. Dunkirk

SPECIFIC HIGHLIGHTS OF 2017:

The action motif/theme from Valerian is great, it's getting a lot of replays for me. Haven't seen the film yet so not 100% sure what the theme is for. Usually not a fan of Desplat.

I was not too excited to see the 3rd Apes movie (didn't like the 2nd one too much), but it was so much better than I expected, with Western/Great Escape resemblances in it. Just fantastic.

SPECIFIC DISAPPOINTMENTS OF 2017:

Obvious: Justice League (just the score, I was not disappointment in the movie because I knew it would be garbage)

No love for Patti Cake$?

I've now seen it. There was a lot of great stuff here, but the predictable "sports movie"/underdog final act left somewhat of a bitter taste in my mouth. But up untill then -- very good movie.
