UPDATED WITH TWEET: JW should do a cameo in SW Ep. IX!

As much as I would find it fitting for him to have a cameo, Williams hasn't been particularly fond of Star Wars (i.e. the movies) for him to want to appear in them. He famously never watched any of them outside of the scoring stage, and has openly described them as "weekend spaceship shows for kids."

To be honest, Rey still hasn't had a love interest in these movies...if Johnny Baby has been bending JJ's ear in the right way, he just may be the one.

... which could give him the right motivation to write the first real love theme of the saga! George Lucas would be proud of that.

And it should be a bit blurry or from a distance so we can endlessly speculate on whether it was the real Williams or just a pastiche a similar-looking actor (since Williams won't want the acting credit with his monumental sense of modesty).

But at least we still have this ancient cameo on STACCATO, in the episode "The Naked Truth" (aired September 10, 1959). A 27-year-old Williams is the one who takes over the piano from Cassavettes as 0:13:

Johnny didn't even have to say anything, Cassavettes knows full well who's the boss!

It will be Bill Ross.

Great film!

Well for what it's worth it has a very intriguing Alan Silvestri score. Quite... Desplatian. Or is Desplat bit Silvestrian? Can't really decide. :)

Biggest wasted opportunity to have a JW cameo in a film was the Carnegie Hall sequence in HOME ALONE 2. He would have been perfect as the conductor here, like Howard Shore in KING KONG or Lalo Schifrin in RED DRAGON.

They did however have a similarly bald and bearded conductor in that scene. That guy along with John Hammond in Jurassic Park confused many Williams fans in that era. It was a common misconception that JW actually appeared in HA2.

JWFAN should definitely set up a www.change.org petition to make this idea come to fruition. There are certainly enough people and fans out there that would love to see this happen.

Well? Is the petition up yet?

Ep 9 will include a scene where Rey heads to a remote planet on her adventures and beds a hot hunk who she meets in a random bar. JW should cameo as the hot hunk. It would be the first gratuitous on-screen sex scene in SW history and will give JW the chance to showcase his glistening pecs which will put Kylo to shame!

I've always heard it's the romantic theme. Even the track title suggests that.

There is even an analysis topic here on the site.

If this is not valid there is a theme for Han and Leia.

C'mon, it was a joke referring to JW's statement that Across the Stars was the first love theme of the franchise, which it surely wasn't as you point out with the theme for Han and Leia.

You haven't seen many petitions then...

Maybe I've seen too many. Alright! I over-reacted but it's just the most unlikely thing ever. JW ain't gonna appear unless he's paid twice his wage!
