THE LAST JEDI cue titles now available

"He's Insane" would be the second cue, as that's the line Hux says when Poe starts shooting the turrets.

Thanks, I only had a rough/quick guess at each cue but didn't even think much about the opening escape as I presume it's quite a mess of cues. I'm guessing that's the first cue of the FYC then?

Not sure if this translates to the music's reel/part (slate?) but in "The Force of Sound" documentary there's a few times we get to see some footage with the reel labeled:

Reel 4v32. 10 - Canto Bight interior, the shot that is specifically shown is the small alien loading BB8 with coins. The same label is also shown to be on the shot of the Fathiers charging out of their stalls in the stables. (the shot OST "The Fathiers" starts) So we know that reel 4 is at-least from the Canto Bight casino to the Fathiers charge, likely even the whole Canto Bight sequence.

So if I'm interpreting that right 4M32INS & 4M32REV2 are both likely heard during the Canto Bight scenes.

There's a new deleted scene photo that shows Luke in his hut with a frying pan in the background. Corresponds with Luke's Breakfast?

Unless it's just the second half of Acht-To Island, as speculated earlier.

That's just a short extension of a scene with Luke mourning Han in his hut and briefly connecting with Leia, which would go just as he enters and slams the door before it cuts to Luke's daily routine. (Source) So, even if the music is for that it would still be as speculated, or the previous cue.

Main Title, Peace and Purpose and Rebellion is Reborn would be covered in this list. Probably Theme In, Rey Looks Back and Rose's Turn (in that order).

Peace and Purpose (OST track) seems to be two different cues though, so maybe Important Scene is wrapped into that?

There's a scene with a spaceship having mechanical trouble in the movie, just can't remember where. Think it involved Finn and Rose.

I believe this should be the part of "Escape" where Poe's X-Wing malfunctions and BB-8 has to fix it. In this case it could go between Welcome Poe and Hux and He's Insane. Or maybe this and He's Insane are partial alternates? One of them has the film-used Poe's full theme, the other that awesome MotR rendition transitioning into Poe's Theme?

Ok, so I checked by searching through the Last Jedi listings by number, as opposed to just searching "Last Jedi" under Williams, and found a few more (thanks lordskylark for the heads up!):

Ahch-To Island

Big Fights

Fun with Finn and Rose

Lesson One

Main Title and Escape

Mirror Scene

Touch

We Can Do This

Some could just be OST titles, though.

MT and Escape is definitely and OST title, Lesson One, Fun with Finn and Rose and Ahch-To Island could be OST titles, the rest seem to be either cue titles we didn't have or alternative titles to ones we already have.

I don't think any of them are OST titles. The cue titles usually are stored together in a single sequence. If something is an OST title, usually the OST track names are uploaded to the database at completely different times and therefore the cue listings would be located different. But how strange things are incorporated there, you never know.

Also, I am surprised how many cues there are:

9M85INS means there is likely at least 85 cues.

But, if you remove the untitled alternate cues, there are about 90 cue names left. So I do not see any reason why those titles would have been limited to the OST.

i wrote Last jedi in the title and Williams in the performing artist, but it comes up with this:

No cue titles.

edit: never mind!

I wrote just Last Jedi, and it comes up with the cues!

Encounter before Dream, a possible explanation just came to me: Encounter (A Kylo connection,  or the fight with Luke) before the Dream (Young Kylo)

Yeah seriously, hopefully enough of these cues are meant to overlap, that it won't be too disjointed to listen to.

Looking at this list, it's crazy to think anyone could write that much music, like, EVER, let alone for just one film!

It may be the longest score of all time.

Don't think so.

isn't Bernstein's Ten Commandments 3 cds in the Intrada 6-cd release?

edit:

I see it says total score time: 2:30:53.

+ 32:54 of alternates/unused.

And the Return of the King CR, especially if you include all the alternates (OST, rarities, Use Well the Days, Fan-Credits, etc...)

That's 3 discs from the original sessions, 1 disc of stuff from the original sessions only edited differently and 2 discs of later recordings. Despite having fewer discs the score to Return of the King is significantly longer.

I already thought of The Ten Commandments, but I think The Last Jedi is slighty longer than 151 minutes. But well, The Return of the King might still beat it. How long is it without alternates and edits?

While it's possible that those inserts occur during the Canto Bight scene, what that Reel label translates to is "Reel 4, Version 32" The 32 commonality with the insert there is just a coincidence. Version 32 refers to the whole reel, not to a cue.

As my contribution to Identifying cues, I'm pretty sure that "What Cha Got?" is the title of a small cue when DJ asks about payment and demands Rose's medallion.

229 minutes.

Since its not an alternate per se, I would also include an added two and a half minutes of trailer music.

Its still much longer.

Actually, each of the three CRs are longer than The Last Jedi; and I'm sure there are quite a few other scores that are also longer.

The first time people have their hands on a 2.5-hour Williams score, and suddenly they just about start hailing it as the longest score ever composed. Come on...

Wasn't the film 3 hours long at one point?

We know the overall length of recorded music is just over three hours, but I think a fair bit of that is alternate takes rather than too much in the way of deleted scored scenes. I should imagine Williams first laid eyes on a version of the film that was at least somewhat polished, rather than the full rough cut.

Anyhow, I'm sure there are other scores of a similar or greater length out there. I just can't recall one at the moment, apart from the Middle Earth ones. I mean, the anniversary Titanic release is over four hours, too.

Apparently Gorranson scored a 4 hour cut of Black Panther, but how much of that was actually scored blah blah blah I don't know

So I had to redo most of my edit.  I went back and watched scenes with the iso score and I THINK this is the correct order of things. I thought I saw the cue title "Dread" in this thread but not sure if it is an actual title.

So what does Old Friends represent? The cue with Luke in the Falcon? The cue where Rey and Poe meet? The track title for the OST album?
