Trent B 337
BTW the clips on Youtube I'm pretty sure were from a rear channel Blu-Ray rip. Especially with the scene with Rey's saber training reported as having sfx. This isolated score has ZERO sfx what so ever.

Oswin Pond 58
I listened a bit on the website (I bought a copy) and honestly it's not awful but it's not good either. I've no idea if it's in 96 kbps or something like that but with a good headset and it's average. And the picture quality is in SD (in case some of you are acually interested by watching the movie this way, I know I am !) which is a HUGE let down

Drew 590
I compared it on my computer versus on an Amazon Fire Stick. The video quality was surprisingly awful on the TV. I couldn't tell if the audio was better on the TV because I didn't run the audio output through Audacity (the TV headphone jack sounds unlistenable). What difference would 5.1 make? If the native bitrate is bad, it won't really make anything better. 9 minutes ago, DigitalfreakNYC said: Omg. STOP with the 96 AAC!!! It's Dolby Digital plus 5.1 on a Roku or Apple TV. Popular Post Jay 37,352
Wow just catching up on this thread is hilarious. So many people confused by pretty straightforward technology. Rian Johnson / Disney made the isolated score available to stream in high quality (Dolby Digital+ in 5.1 channels) and if your device supports it, you get to listen to it in that format. If your device doesn't, you get a downgraded version. If you play on a computer, for example, you get 96kbps AAC. If you play on Apple TV, you get PCM stereo. If you play on a good enough Roku, you get the DD 5.1. This is all assuming the device on the other end of the HDMI can read that format. It's not going to be on the physical Blu Ray disc. We've already known that for weeks, but RJ's tweets again today reconfirm it. Some people only read his first tweet instead of the whole chain. It's an exclusive special feature only available with Movies Anywhere. If you buy the movie digitally today on another platform, you can link your purchase to Movies Anywhere and stream the music track. If you wait and buy the physical Blu Ray, it comes with a digital copy and if you activate that, you can link it to Movies Anywhere and stream the music track. Officially and legally, you can only play the music through Movies Anywhere while you have an active internet connection to stream it while the movie streams (unless they have an offline mode I'm not aware of). If you plan on pirating this track instead of purchasing it, please don't talk on our public forums about that, or how you've pirated it for other people. Use your head. Please just talk about the music track itself, and the software and methods one might use to archive yourself a recording of it if you did buy it, IE for in case Movies Anywhere ever takes it away or you don't want to use internet bandwidth to listen to it every time, etc. Please don't talk about uploading it to others or downloading it if you didn't buy it. We have a freaking PM system people. Thank you. crumbs, The Illustrious Jerry, Incanus and 7 others 6
