musictheorist 1 Posted October 26, 2018 Share Posted October 26, 2018 Hans Zimmer for example uses the D Minor key in a lot of his scores. I happen to find Randy Newman uses G Major as his go to key. John Williams uses every major and minor key because he’s underrated. Any other composers that have a favorite key signature? Note: Randy Newman is one of my favorite movie composers next to John Williams because of his trademark uses of Mickey-mousing to the film’s actions, using various time signatures, and using triple tuplets.
