I thought I'd be much happier with the film version of that cue, but I've grown so accustomed to the vocals it now sounds like something is missing without them.

Interestingly, the opening of "Bond Has Left The Building" and "Welcome To Kazakhstan" contain music we never even knew existed, albeit only a few seconds worth.

I saw this movie for the first time the other night and quite enjoyed it. It's quite an amazing experience watching a movie for the first time and knowing that every piece of music you liked is available for you to listen to! 😂

Sure beats waiting nearly 20 years! 😄

The first Bond film I ever watched was On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I've watched it not long ago for the second time and it's definitely up there with the best (From Russia With Love, Casino Royale).

Of the Brosnan films, I remember being quite fond of GoldenEye. I'm planning of rewatching it and the rest of the series (did get to film 7).

Different, but not necessarily better, per se. Lazenby puts in a better performance, in OHMSS than Connery does in that true Bondian abortion DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (sorry @gkgyver).

Lazenby is a weak Bond, but the film itself is superb.

Because everything that surrounds Lazenby is so top-drawer, we can forgive him for being lax, at times.

As for DAD; it might be "an abortion", but it has my favourite line since the '95 reboot: "I know all about the UN embargo. I studied at Oxford and Harvard. Majored in Western hypocrisy".

Still makes me chuckle.

Goldeneye was definitely my first Bond film, but I like Tomorrow Never Dies more.

Of the Brosnan's, Tomorrow Never Dies has definitely been my favorite so far. Dumpster fire or not, I'm sure I'll get to Die Another Day soon enough.

He completely lacks screen presence and charisma. And he's completely unconvincing as a leading man.

The suggestion that he's better then Connery in DAF is an indication of either extremely bad taste, or brain damage!

Who would have been better for OHMSS, Connery, Moore, or Dalton?  Dalton was rather young at the time, but he could have brought some balance.  Can't help imagining Connery reading all of Lazenby's lines, though.

Are you bwain dead, Steef?!

At least Lazenby tried. In DAF, Connery was fat, complacent and lazy. He sleepwalked through that film, but then, he hadn't put in a decent Bond performance, since GOLDFINGER.

There's nothing remotely remarkable, or original, about DAF. It's a nasty piece of work. Yes, Lazenby is a stuffed shirt, but he's got more genuine emotion, than Connery ever had.

DAF has its moments (elevator fight, the 'right idea ... but wrong pussy' exchange, the 'Plenty O'Toole' exchange) but even approached as a kind of absurd black comedy it's all a bit too much for me. And those who blame Moore for the overly comedic direction the films took seem to overlook that it starts with DAF.

I think Lazenby acquits himself damn well, considering he had to follow Connery and was hired for his physical prowess instead of his acting experience/ability.

I don't know, though certainly not Live and Let Die or The Man With the Golden Gun. The Brosnans were all intensely boring, Casino Royale and that other one with Bardem at least watchable. I'd say 2 Connerys, 2 Moores, 1 Dalton, 1 Lazenby and 2 Craigs. But truth to be told, i wouldn't watch them again. DAF at least has the funny dub and it's pleasantly silly. This, Moonraker and TSWLM for lighter afternoons.

I listened to this new album at work yesterday.  Holy shit!  It's great!  I never paid as much attention to this score as the other Arnold/Bond scores, but now that I finally see everything he was going for, I like it a lot!  I already can't wait to listen again!

Cues like "Snow Business," "Out of the Snow / Stay With Me Please," "Devil's Breath," and "Welcome to Kazakhstan" really add a lot to the listening experience I think.  In addition to the absolutely classic Arnold action/suspense music we already had with "Ice Bandits," "Pipeline," and of course the home run "Come in 007, Your Time is Up."

I must admit, as with Die Another Day actually, the climax setpiece music tends to wash over me, but I'm hoping to really get more familiar with those cues this time.  I tended to not really listen to "Submarine" on the original album.

I find in all his Bond scores, the climax setpiece cues aren't as good as the earlier action tracks.  I actually find that the case with a lot of scores, and have been idly thinking about creating a thread about it some day

And, yea, I didn't exactly remember which tracks where new and old when listening, but you pointed out all the highlight tracks I noticed!

Really the only time I thought the presentation slowed down too much was in middle bit with the casino tracks

I was always atttracted to Snow Busness and Pipeline. Listening to this set, the Bunker material in particular has a really good build-up and the underscore material is generally also pretty interesting as it's largely driven by either Renard's piano motif or Elektra's theme.

This is the only Bond score I feel I need complete, and I think it's largely because of that nice balance between action music and calmer moments, and also (as the liners point out) it's not an overly long score.

I'm sufficiently unfamiliar with the OST that really, which bits are new is pretty irrelevant.

Oh, and also I REALLY like the main title song!  It's been in my head all morning.  Arnold's demo of it was cool too!  I love how thorough Neil is with these releases; The Gun Barrel separate elements track was really interesting to hear!

I cannot friggin wait for Tomorrow Never Dies!!!
