I know how much people have been craving this, so good news. I've had a promo for about a year now, and while it's good for what it is, it's not really my cup of tea these days. But bound to satisfy fans of a certain type of sound, no doubt.

Actually, since this is an album that will present score selections of each episode (YOUNG INDY-style), it makes sense to have 2 CDs and a fairly long album.

Could this mean we might be getting more Family Guy music too? I'd really like Life of Brian to be released.

There was a FG release not too long ago, although I think it was mostly just the musicals. Unfortunately I don't see a score release for the show coming any day soon, although that would be pretty cool. Road to the North Pole was one that I always hoped would get it's own release, although now I have the recording sessions for it.

Nice, didn't know those existed.

I'm not sure anyone else has them. I got them from Ron Jones' private SoundCloud server a few years back along with a few other session cues from various episodes.

EDIT: After checking, I think I do have a few cues from Life of Brian. None of them are labelled with episode names, but there's one cue "2M2 Brian Dies" that seems like a contender, as well as another one or two that could be from that episode.

Did Ron Jones have any unreleased DuckTales music on that server that wasn't made available elsewhere?

I remember getting some various tracks from his website a few years ago.

The Orville “Making Contact”

Very Hornerish :) But since John Debney posted this yesterday, I guess it's from season 2. Interesting tidbid from the Facebook comments:

How much time between episodes do you have to write new music for the series?
- Seth likes to give each of us at least 2-3 weeks which is a luxury....

What happened to the Thor who won't listen to any releases longer than 50 mins? The criteria you're applying to decide when too much music has been released, is misty....

This is the original release of the material. If there had been a short single CD released last year (cough cough), but now they were expanding it, he would have an army outside LLL waiting to slit wrists. But instead, he's cool with it.

If The Stars Should Appear is the best score of the season!  Firestorm is full of awesome homages too (Alien, Aliens, Total Recall...)

Bruce's pilot score is actually my least favorite of the bunch.  I'm curious to check out the Cottee, since it wasn't on the promo.  There's actually 2 cues from his score online, under slightly different titles than the LLL edition

ORVILLE UP FOR PRE ORDER

https://lalalandrecords.com/the-orville-original-television-soundtrack-season-1-2-cd-set

Things are working a little bit differently with this release. You can now pre-order it on our website. The first 150 or so orders "should" get a signed cd of some sorts by one or more of the composers. We are trying to work out the specifics now.

Act now!

I just pre-ordered.  I had avoided doing so before in case autographed copies turned up somewhere!

Neat!

Damn, I wish I knew if my order is one of the 150. I ordered a few days ago (I think on the same day the pre-order went up). I've always wanted a signed copy of something.

Wonder if this is a new direction that LLL will take with pre-orders or if this is a one-time deal because of the autographs?

I was thinking they did it because this isn't a limited edition, as opposed to the vast majority of their releases.

@Jay or anyone that might be able to help; I remember Film Score Monthly had an FSM Online issue about the first episode of the Orville that contained samples of music. I was wondering exactly what those samples were, and if any of them contain music that isn't going to be on the LLL album.
