Ha, ha...thanks for the laugh of the day.

 

In this case, you're unintentionally correct, though, since the score of BLADE RUNNER is supposed to blend organically with the sound design, creating an overall soundscape. So it does function as 'noise' in a certain sense of the word.

As I'm sure you know, Joe, the title comes from a line in the hymn JERUSALEM, by Parry, and Blake. The line itself dates from the book of 2 Kings Ch. 2 V. 11.
