Romão 2,274
I'm talking about the Ark Theme and the Grail Theme. Its remarkable how john williams was abble to capture the essence of the artifacts in music. Really remarkable. The Ark theme is very simple melody, but it just conveys so perfectly the wrath of god lurking inside a box. In the miracle of the ark, the ark theme is trully awe inspiring, and very very intimadating in the map room: dawn. The Grail Theme sounds so noble, reflecting the virtues necessaru in order to find the grail itself. I read somewhere that the essence of the grail is not in finding the grail itslef, but rather in the quest to find it.Just my thoughts on 2 of my all time favourite themes. True masterpieces. His theme for the Cross Of Coranado is awesome as well. Probably my favorite "little known" Williams theme. A shame it wasn't on the original release, but our private bootlegs took care of that problem until we get the real deal someday (HOPEfully)... The Ark Theme is the best though. A bit close to the Emperor's Theme, but I love both anyways so I don't care...
Pelzter 0
About this Emperor's Theme business mentioned above; I mean no disrespect towards Williams or ANY of his scores, but it seems, that this theme has a tendency to pop up every once in a while:- HOOK (the early chorus-theme for the pirates - in the scene where Wendy shows Peter the book with Pan in it)- AMISTAD (Cinque's Theme)- E.T. ("Distress" theme)- RAIDERS (Ark Theme)Any thoughts?--Pelzter.
Morn 8
The Hook one is a joke, the rest aren't really *that* similar
