Guest
I was listening to it today and I thought, "Those drums sound like underscore of a chase scene from a 60s detective series that Johnny would've scored." Of course the rest of the composition wasn't 60s-ish, but the drums sure seemed like it at the time and still do.And after listening to "Anderton's Great Escape", I appreciate the action music in AOTC (especially "Chase") MUCH better. I noticed that "Chase" is mostly brass and percussion, rather than woodwind like "Great Escape"--which is what we like. "Escape" makes "Chase" look flawless--which it just about is, with the actual chase scene in the movie or just driving through 6 o'clock city traffic with it cranked up. Wickenstein 0
This has nothing to do with the above post, but I thought I'd say this here...Has it ever been suggested that the electric guitar plays a variant of the imperial march? I got the idea when I saw a prerelease video clip synched up before the heavy editing. It shows Anakin jumping out of the speeder as the electric guitar hits. Listen to it at the 5:13 mark.NP: AOTC
