A track from a score is what is properly called as a cue.

I think you might say it's a single unit of score-- ie, a musical piece of any length (from a few seconds to several minutes) played without interruption (save for a dramatic pause, included / written in the piece).

A CD track can be a collection of cues edited into a suite.

I know what a cue is but I also have a question for those who, like me, speak spanish, what word would you use for cue in spanish??

It should be added that "lay" people often refer to music from scores as "songs" when the proper term would be cue.

A cue is one uninterrupted piece of music for a scene or sequence in the film.One scene in the film can require several cues.Most of JW's c.d. tracks are made from several cues edited togheter.

Most of them - there are a few cases of multiple cues in one track, or multiple tracks for one cue. And they're edited versions of the cues, obviously.
