At the beggining of this part of the Carbon Freeze cue, is it just me or do I hear the sound of someone taking a breath of air?

If there are some wind instruments, it would be normal.

in ROTJ there are many tuba players breaths.

Especially Jabba' theme played during the return of Han Solo.

Also listen to "Hogwarts Forever" from HP:SS. Lots of breaths in the horn section. That caught me off balance when I heard it the first time.

Another classic example of bodily sounds (perhaps) can be heard on the original release of Star Wars at about 14 seconds into "The Princess Appears." This quick indescribable humming-type sound can be heard. For years I've wondered what it was: maybe a chair moving, a fart, or some moron humming. This noise does not appear in the Anthology or SE versions, although on the Anthology version you can hear a slight tick where it was edited.

The WORST esample of extraneous noise would have to be the original soundtrack for 2001: A Space Odyssey. Almost every single track has chairs moving, pages turning, etc. Not a headphones experience!

At the end of the Jurassic Park cue "Journey to the Island" you can hear someone lean back in their chair... and then move very slowly...

It's funny because you can just imagine everyone staring at this one performer as he slowly moves, causing the chair to creak.

My orchestra director in college use to say that it was very unprofessional to have such sounds and that good orchestras don't have any :-p

Well, if I'm not mistaken, isn't there a certain Boston Pops cd where about 30 seconds into a track, a stand falls over?...I can't remember which it was off the top of my head. But it was a John Williams piece.

Eaither way, those sounds drive me crazy at times... but some sounds, like breathing, can't be avoided lol...

Like, there's one sound (of many!) in ET that always catches my attention, I THINK it's the sound of the guy stepping on the pedal to remove the damper from the tubular bells... it's in the track "Saying Goodbye" its at 14:12 for me...

Oh well...

well, the Godfather scores have many sfx in the source cues, even a baby crying in one of the Part II tracks.
