This could be my favourite 20 seconds of music that Williams has composed.

If anyone wants a recording, let me know.

I like Williams own "Amblin" logo music better, although I never heard the full version of it outside of an MP3 I got somewhere.I think it was composed just before E.T.,since a part of it is at the end of that movie.Anyways,it perfectly captures Williams compositionnal style of the early 80's,in a similar way as the opening and end credit music for "Amazing Stories".

The Dreamworks music echos his style of the late 90's,like Stepmom.

Both are good, Amblin and Dreamworks but I kinda like DW a little better, but not to say they're the best music Williams has written

The Amblin motif was composed and recorded in 1985. It was first used at the end of "Young Sherlock Holmes" and "The Color Purple." It was never at the end of "E.T." except on the original VHS release in 1988 (it wasn't on the Laserdisc). It was used a few more times after '85 ("The Money Pit" and "American Tail") and I think it was phased out after that.

then that's why it sounds like the melody that springs out of the Amazing Stories main title.

that's the VHS I have.
