RuBen_Kenobi 20 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Peter Jackson and Spielberg are working in a trilogy of Tintin, and it looks like Jackson is going to direct the first one, and Spielberg the second. Altougth Williams is now 75 and some think that he could be retired in the near future, if Spielberg directs a movie the logical is Williams doing the soundtrack. As Jackson doesn´t have a regular composer, and Williams (almost sure) doing the secuel, nobody see this?? And going far away, Jackson´s "The Lovely Bones"(april 2009) hasn´t attached a composer yet. Since Dreamworks is producing and thinking on a future work together on Tintin, what about Williams scoring LB?
Ollie 1,375 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Williams is 76.Well we'll find out once Spielberg and Jackson get working on it. There could be a chance Williams doesn't even work on any of the Tintin films, and I don't mean that in a bad way.
Miguel Andrade 1,725 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 I hope Williams use the remain of his time in this Earth to write his own music. And I don't see him retiring anytime soon... unless you mean retire from crappy Hollywood.
Josh500 1,620 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 Bunch of suppositions and hypotheses...Studios have nothing to do with it, anyway, I'm sure JW picks his projects himself. I bet he only feels (slightly) obligated to his good old friend Mr. Spielberg, nobody else.
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted March 21, 2008 Posted March 21, 2008 There's already a topic on the Spielberg/Jackson Tintin project here.Funny how skeptical people are for him working with Jackson though, yet remain convinced there's still a possibility he'll work with Yates on Deathly Hallows. - Marc
