BurgaFlippinMan 7 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 For me, I'll be more than happy if it matches The Last Crusade.
Neimoidian 15 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 For me, I'll be more than happy if it matches The Last Crusade. This is satisfactory for me. I'll be happy if it is more in RotLA vein than LC.
Damo 0 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I'm optimistic. It took 15 years to come up with a story for Indy IV. Just how long did it take them to come up with the stories for Raiders, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade?
Quintus 6,495 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 If it's as good as Crusade I'll be over the moon.
Neimoidian 15 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 If it's as good as Crusade I'll be over the moon.Previously you said you'll be happy bunny, I liked that more
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 If its as good as LC then I will be very disappointed. If its in between the quality of TOD and LC then I will be ok. I just want a good JW score more than anything.
Luke Skywalker 2,383 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 If its as good as LC then I will be very disappointed.i feel sorry for you already.
Josh500 1,620 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I just want a good JW score more than anything.Same here!
Jacob 1 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 If its as good as LC then I will be very disappointed. At least you wouldn't be able to call it the Least Crusade anymore. Well, I like National Treasure, Narnia and the Star Wars prequels for the most part. So, I won't be that hard to please. Even if it's not as 'good' as Crusade I'm confident I'll still enjoy it. Quite a bit even.
MrScratch 296 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Film: If it isn't too reliant on humor like LC wasScore: Exciting action cues and not dull rhythmic repetition like a lot of his recent action cues
Josh500 1,620 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I REALLY REALLY hope Indy and Marion don't get married at the end of the movie and then settle down somewhere...It would be a typical Spielberg ending, but I sincerely hope not!
Humpty Dumpty 0 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 It can be anything it wants so long as it has a cameo of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
Ollie 1,375 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Just as long as Tommy Lee Jones doesn't come up to Indy at the end and ask him if he'd like to work for a secret agency...............I just want it to be good, nothing will ever come close to Raiders. But honestly I agree with Joe, I want a good Williams score more than anything.
Luke Skywalker 2,383 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I REALLY REALLY hope Indy and Marion don't get married at the end of the movie and then settle down somewhere...I think you are going to be dissapointed. Lush Marion's theme finale, etc...Plus Indy has have to had a daughter, and those do not come with storks.
Henry B 51 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I REALLY REALLY hope Indy and Marion don't get married at the end of the movie and then settle down somewhere...It would be a typical Spielberg ending, but I sincerely hope not!Hahaha what? I knew from the moment that Karen Allen was announced as a cast member that Indy and Marion would get back together, but marrying and settling down somewhere? That's, uh... not what I'd expect of Spielberg.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 they don't get married because Indy goes up in the spaceship at the end.
Jacob 1 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 And another thing. He has to use his whip more than twice. He only used it twice in Crusade. But from the looks of the previews I don't think that will be a problem.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I thought he crashed into a manure truck.thats when he goes back to the future in part 5
Ollie 1,375 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 they don't get married because Indy goes up in the spaceship at the end.And if you stay after the end credits you'll see Indy leave the ship years later. He looks up and says "oh I'm in Wyoming" as Richard Dreyfuss walks by the camera. Then Samual Jackson walks up to him and asks him if he wants to join S.H.I.E.L.D.
Josh500 1,620 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 I REALLY REALLY hope Indy and Marion don't get married at the end of the movie and then settle down somewhere...It would be a typical Spielberg ending, but I sincerely hope not!Hahaha what? I knew from the moment that Karen Allen was announced as a cast member that Indy and Marion would get back together, but marrying and settling down somewhere? That's, uh... not what I'd expect of Spielberg.Marrying and settling down is maybe an exaggeration, but at the end of each Indy movie except TLC, Indy gets the girl. Now, if Indy gets Marion a second time, I feel more should happen than going for an after-work drink . . . Does anybody else want to see Indy get it on with Irina Spalko???
MrScratch 296 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 It will have to be good.We all want it to be good, but "good" means many different things to many different people.
Red 75 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Good. Not better than any of the other films, or scores for that matter. Just a good Indy movie.
Ollie 1,375 Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 It will have to be good.We all want it to be good, but "good" means many different things to many different people.I'm gonna take a gamble and say most member's definition of good would be a film that falls in between Raiders TOD and LC as far as quality goes. Anything worse than LC is a failure in my book
Pieter Boelen 1,032 Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 For me it has to be a fun, upbeat adventure. I'm not that hard to please, as long as it isn't too bad. There seems to be some things taken from the Saucer Men from Mars script that they put into this film as well that I'm not entirely pleased with (aliens, hiding in a fridge from an atomic blast) and the notion that Mutt might be Indy's son, Indy and Marion might marry at the end of the film, the temple might turn out to be a spaceship and Mutt might get Indy's hat at the end also don't sound all that great to me. However, those are just rumours and there's a good chance that at least some of those don't turn out to be true. Still, the trailers have already proved to me that there'll be a lot to like in this film and so have the sound clips for the score. It seems that they took some general ideas from Saucer Men from Mars and greatly improved on it. That is a very good thing as far as I'm concerned. Saucer Men from Mars would've made for an Indy film I would never want to see, but it seems that KotCS will be much, much better than that. I've been looking forward to this film for ages and I'm pretty optimistic.

That's, uh... not what I'd expect of Spielberg. Why are they so well dressed up, even the greaser?BTW what i said about indy's daughter is unlikely. I dont think marion could (or should..) have babies at her late 40s early 50s.

Richard P 5,302 Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 My definition of good? That I want to see it again.
Neimoidian 15 Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 I just hope this doesn't end the way RotS did, with a shot of the babies at sunset...It'll end like TPM with grand parade of CGI characters, scored with children choir singing LA LA LA.
Luke Skywalker 2,383 Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 its going to end like AOTC.The ruskies preparing an army, and indy and marion marrying
Neimoidian 15 Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 its going to end like AOTC.The ruskies preparing an army, and indy and marion marryingThat's actually quite possible
Josh500 1,620 Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 its going to end like AOTC.The ruskies preparing an army, and indy and marion marryingThat's actually quite possible Yeah, right!
Ollie 1,375 Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 its going to end like AOTC.The ruskies preparing an army, and indy and marion marryingIf this film is anything like AOTC I'll get up and walk out.
