Jay 46,244 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Well, looks like K.M. is in the "who gets his box set last" competitionI still don't have mine...
King Mark 3,975 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Well, the post office obviously lost yours
Jay 46,244 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Or someone in my condo building stole it
Lurker 5 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 That's funny. The two people with the most posts in this thread don't have the set yet. Probably didn't even order it. Neil
Maxxie 1 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Oh and btw...i've done a new version of the temple credits (in addition to the belly of the beast). i'd be happy to send it to anyone to get feedback.I'd be happy to take a listen if you want.
Jay 46,244 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 That's funny. The two people with the most posts in this thread don't have the set yet. Probably didn't even order it. Neil I ordered it long before the release date, from amazon.com. Then I stupidly cancelled that order and made a new order from moviemusic.com to try to save a couple bucks. I severely regret that decision.
Lurker 5 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Oh I know you ordered it. Strange that you haven't received it yet.Neil
Jay 46,244 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I guess its the price I pay for using $1 shipping. Apparently its Media Mail and can take up to 10 business days. Oh well at least it was only $39.99

I severely regret that decision.Ahh so you're the Jason on MovieMusic, I'm BigT1981 on there. Don't freak out dude, it's coming to you it's just the post office is taking its sweet time to deliver it. I can vouch that Peter is an outstanding guy and always comes through for people. I'm sure others here will vouch for Peter too. Next time I suggest using the priority option.
John Crichton 4 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Well, looks like K.M. is in the "who gets his box set last" competitionI still don't have mine...And in thish short of rashe, there'sh no shilver medal for finisshing shecond.
Luke Skywalker 2,384 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 That's quite amusing.Nice. That was the idea Raiders sounds great, you can notice small instruments never before heard! The pitch is fine to my untrained ears
KittBash 361 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Well, looks like K.M. is in the "who gets his box set last" competitionwill I beat Jason???Hey I'm still in the running for this one too.
Luke Skywalker 2,384 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Whoa.Half of Temple of doom is like a new score for me.No pitch issues either. Great improvement in quality from the mp3s i had for years.
Richard P 5,303 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Interesting. Maybe the ones I used in the editing package where not the best ones out there thenThey were the same ones as I had (although only in mp3). I'm hoping DigitalFreakNYC might have less compressed sounding ones.
DigitalfreakNYC 104 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Interesting. Maybe the ones I used in the editing package where not the best ones out there thenThey were the same ones as I had (although only in mp3). I'm hoping DigitalFreakNYC might have less compressed sounding ones.Ok so what's the scoop? You guys want me to just put all these in a zip file and send out a link?To be honest, I don't know what's allowed and not allowed on the board and I don't want to break any rules.
tjguitar 0 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 I still don't have mine. It looks like it will arrive either today or tomorrow, but I don't get home until tomorrow, so I'll have all weekend to listen to it.
crumbs 16,007 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Mine is still somewhere in transit between England and Australia... probably in a kangaroo pouch.

Greg1138 3 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Despite my highest hopes and praying to Khali, mine hasn't arrived yet either....
John Crichton 4 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Despite my highest hopes and praying to Khali, mine hasn't arrived yet either....Perhaps you should try Shiva?
indy4 160 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Luke, that's a great photo. I especially love how you have the light shining on your face.
Nemesis 301 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 With a bit of luck I have my set before christmas. But for 23.49 Euro I can't complain
RuBen_Kenobi 20 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Well, looks like K.M. is in the "who gets his box set last" competitionI still don't have mine...Me neither. Damn, what happen with hmv??
DigitalfreakNYC 104 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I sent out links with the uncompressed tracks
King Mark 3,975 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Thanks a million .I had a hunch your boot would be different. This seems to be a completely new source of the boot I've never heard before. There is a bit of hiss but nowhere near the compression/dehissing artifacts of the other versions ,including the ones I have on cdr.Very nice!!
Jay 46,244 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hey gang, my PM box got full today, so I missed the link to digitafreak's good TLC boots. If someone's around right now with the link, can you PM it to me?If I missed anybody elses PMs today, you'll have to resend cause I didn't see em. Thanks!
Delorean90 47 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Despite my highest hopes and praying to Khali, mine hasn't arrived yet either....Perhaps you should try Shiva? You've got the wrong god, Mr. Crichton. *goes to pick up hat* Why don't you try my Father?-Ben, who couldn't resist.
Jay 46,244 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Woah! Definitely sounds better than anything I've heard before! Yay!.... does anybody know if all these play at the right speed?
Henry B 51 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 They seem to be close to, but not exactly at the right speed.
Jay 46,244 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 So nothing worse than the wrong speeds on the actual Concord set?
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I decided to check this thread out after awhile, and you're still on about the damn speeds!
Henry B 51 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 So nothing worse than the wrong speeds on the actual Concord set?Eh, not really... It just sounds sour when I play along with a keyboard. Haven't tested every file this way.
King Mark 3,975 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Eh, not really... It just sounds sour when I play along with a keyboard.why do you do that?
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Eh, not really... It just sounds sour when I play along with a keyboard.why do you do that?
Jay 46,244 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Der Koniggratzer also plays all the way through to the end of the performance instead of cutting off early! This is awesome! Thanks DigitalFreakNYC!
Desplat13 1 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Which score is the new bootleg for?Edit: I assume TLC from Jason's last post.Does it mean I will have to change my edits?
Wycket 36 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Which score is the new bootleg for?Edit: I assume TLC from Jason's last post.Does it mean I will have to change my edits?Well, this new stuff is in WAV and sounds pretty good, especially when comparing it to the old boot counterpart. I think Jason's comments pretty much sum it up well enough.
chinaismine 64 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hey gang, my PM box got full today, so I missed the link to digitafreak's good TLC boots. Ray Barnsbury 8 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Been listening mostly to Temple lately. "Short Round Helps"....wow. I must've not known this cue very well from whatever boot I'd been listening to, because I'm f*cking blown away. The whole score is utterly amazing.
King Mark 3,975 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 So,I have been "overrating" ToD all these years?I was one of the few to place it alongside TESB as Williams most epic masterpiece.
Turbo 81 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hey gang, my PM box got full today, so I missed the link to digitafreak's good TLC boots. If somebody could please pass it along to me as well. I'd love to hear the difference.
