indy4 160 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Anybody have a clue? I apologize for the fact that there have been tons of these threads before, but I don't feel like digging them up. Thanks in advance!

Muad'Dib 2,059 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Ask him to play the Tintin theme for you! And of course... Deathly Hallows... Pleeeeeease?
Alejandro 31 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Usually there's a side entrance/exit that he goes out of. That's where fans typically trap him for a photo. If you bring something for him to sign, try to make it interesting ... like an oldie that people don't usually bring for him to sign. Stanley and Iris!
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 You've been saying that Stanley & Iris thing for years!

Koray Savas 2,260 Posted September 2, 2009 Posted September 2, 2009 Hey indy4 can I send you my extra Stanley & Iris booklet and get it signed?
Eric Hester 0 Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 The configuration may have changed in more recent years - but here's my suggestion:Stage right is where the artist entrance is. However, JW does not enter nor exit here. Instead he takes the elevator / stairs to the underground parking where he is whisked away by his driver. You used to be able to stand behind the bowl and try to get to him through the lattice. I met him once this way - but as stated, I think the configuration has changed since then.I'll be there tomorrow ... looking forward to it.
indy4 160 Posted September 4, 2009 Author Posted September 4, 2009 Thanks! I'm a bit confused about what you're advocating--are you saying that meeting him probably isn't going to happen, or I should alter my strategy? Also, anybody know if you're allowed to bring video cameras/cameras to the rehearsal?

If you can still access the back of the bowl, through the lattice - I would suggest that.Otherwise, I don't really know.I took some photos, but using a video camera is likely not acceptable.
indy4 160 Posted September 4, 2009 Author Posted September 4, 2009 I have returned from the rehearsal. I was waiting in the back of the Bowl with a group of people, and Williams came out, saying, "Oh, thank you all for coming!" A few people requested him to stay longer to sign posters and what not, but Williams gestured and seemed to suggest he had a cold or something. So unfortunately, there was no meeting the maestro on this occasion, and I was unable to ask him about DH. However, I did get closer than I ever have.

Neimoidian 15 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Williams gestured and seemed to suggest he had a cold or something. That's a good trick. What if that was a swine flu?
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Better than a common flu. Swine flu seems to be quite harmless in its current form.
