I definitely need to get more familiar with both scores. I definitely like the B-movie spoof main theme Elfman wrote for Mars Attacks!, but I might end up having to give the win to ID4. I'll have a much better idea once the 2-CD set arrives.

ID4 for me. Mars Attacks paints a wonderfully campy soundscape that works well in the movie, but ID4 is a better standalone listen.

Mars Attacks is a fun movie, but I prefer the full on cheese, delicious irony and spectacular setpieces of ID4. Score-wise, they don't compare.

I can't vote. I've seen no more than fifteen minutes of MA and never heard the score for the score's sake. But ID4 is a great popcorn epic, and its score is amazing.

At least we have a nice, complete presentation of ID4. LLL's Mars Attacks is... problematic
