Basti 0 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 I'm composing a score for the 1931 classic "Dracula" starring Bela Lugosi. It's going to be my first real composition ever (I have composed a piano concerto, but it didn't grow beyond the first movement <_< ), and I'd be happy if you would give some comments about it. Here is the first part:Main TitleAs soon as I've finished watching "House", I'll go on composing.
Thor 9,362 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 You've got some interesting melodic ideas going on, but I'm not sure why you've filtered it through something that makes it sound "old-fashioned" and crinkly. Then again, the MIDI equipment you're using sounds somewhat cheap (a bit like an 80's computer game), so it may not work well in crystal clear sound. Do you have access to better samples and sound libraries?Anyways, keep up the work! It would be interesting to hear a more developped piece.
Basti 0 Posted December 27, 2010 Author Posted December 27, 2010 Thank you - to be honest: I'm using a test version of Sibelius First that expired so it wouldn't let me safe the document I'm working on. Thereby I have to record it with the voice recorder of my mobile, I didn't filter it . If someone could get me a key for Sibelius First, I'd be very happy ...(Just composed 11 more seconds )Good night, and thanks again!
