tharpdevenport 4 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 First I brought you ALEC BALDWIN FOR GOVERNOR.Then I did CHARLIE SHEEN FOR PRESIDENT.Now, continuing my weird little videos, I present: MEL GIBSON FOR EVIL OVERLORD:
Melange 448 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 Mr Gibson really does seem to be a profoundly troubled mind. It's amusing that movie stars are often seen as beacons of light to aspire to.
crocodile 9,724 Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 I think this is a brilliant idea for a series. I'm posting this for the first guest (obviously), but I'd watch more of this kinda thingVery nice. Thanks! I'd like to see more of Patrick Stewart these days. He's such a great actor.Karol
Maglorfin 219 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 How they did a "Bondathon" - watched 25 007 movies in 3 days: The complete report can be found here. Kinda cool, gotta do something similar someday myself.
Jay 46,241 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Yea I saw that a while ago.. Neil Bulk was in attendance for a portion of it
Uni 307 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Please . . . it's impossible to watch 27,007 movies in three days. . . . - Uni
Wojo 2,458 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Yea I saw that a while ago.. Neil Bulk was in attendance for a portion of itWho?

Ollie 1,375 Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Please . . . it's impossible to watch 27,007 movies in three days. . . . - UniNot if you use scan function at its fastest setting.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,383 Posted April 7, 2011 Posted April 7, 2011 Its not impossible, but you will look rather haggard after doing it.
Uni 307 Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 How did you guys go from 25 to 27?Ah, whatever . . . as if cutting 2,000 movies out would help you get it done in time.- Scott
tharpdevenport 4 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 I tried my hand in atonal music. Using one variation of it where you arrange 12 notes how ever you want, without repeating them. I harmonized a little, so I suspect I cheated.Anyway, only about 25 seconds long: Symphonette 17: The end of this one doesn't work for me fully, but I do like the fact it didn't come to a conclusion or harmonized resolve.
Joe Brausam 234 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 I had to write a harmonized 12-tone palendrome once for college....really annoying.
Joe Brausam 234 Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 My brass ensemble from the jazz concert that the school I work at puts on each spring. I have them doing Blue Rondo ala Turk, and an arrangement I did of the theme to Goldfinger, based on one of the Prague recordings of it. Goldfinger they only practiced twice before this performance, but it turned out pretty good! As a side note...I hate my voice, I can't stand to listen to myself speak in that video!Hope you enjoy.
Ollie 1,375 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 Nice job Joe.I know how you feel, I think my own voice is awful.
Quintus 6,494 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 Astounding. Watch it full screen in HD if you can.

Quintus 6,494 Posted April 22, 2011 Posted April 22, 2011 On the face of it just another really good editing job; but this is actually a razor sharp satire which is so, so true.
rpvee 1,095 Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 I made a teaser trailer for Revenge of the Sith, somewhat inspired by Clones' Breathing teaser, but only by the fact that Vader's breathing is in the background a lot. I really tried to get Anakin's confusion and chaos across.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,383 Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 While watching this keep in mind that this Man City player is earning millions a year!
Melange 448 Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 This one is rather brilliant.Well, more than a few Women want equality only for 'them', and embrace/support discrimination/stereotypes of Men when it suits them to. Many times in life I've observed / experienced that, at least. It's Women's cunning little game of convenience and a case of "Wanting the Best of both worlds on their terms, but the best of both worlds only for Women". That game must end really
Incanus 5,890 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 "S With an H" from Sean Connery: The musical:
Melange 448 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 But I must point out one ommision of "Sh" when he said "Shaken, not Stirred" instead of "Shtirred"Another funny one from those guys.......

Incanus 5,890 Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 John Williams' life at home is not easy. Writing all those cool tunes and stuck up with Alice and Sherman and their unmusicality.
Neimoidian 15 Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 "John Williams" on The Whitest Kids U Know:No respect for anyone thesedays...
Quintus 6,494 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 We have a new YouTube phenomenon in the making: Genius!
Datameister 2,586 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Sorry to toot my own horn with another piano arrangement, but y'all are more likely than average to enjoy it: It's got mistakes, but I'm rather proud of the fact that I did it all more or less in one take. I usually have to do a fair amount of cutting between takes.
Datameister 2,586 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Thanks! Agreed about the talking dog clip, BTW. I'm looking at the other videos on that channel, and the ones I've seen have not been quite as good, but I suppose there's only so much you can do with the limited mouth movements of real animals. In any case, the production values are pretty impressive, with ambient background noise and reverb and whatnot.
Maglorfin 219 Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 Sorry to toot my own horn with another piano arrangement, but y'all are more likely than average to enjoy it:Bravo, well done!

indy4 160 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 As a trombone player I especially appreciated this, but you certainly don't need to be one in order to!
Datameister 2,586 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Hahaha, he's definitely an entertainer. And he's gotta have pretty impressive chops to pull off that sort of playing while doing...that.
indy4 160 Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Yeah I was surprised he was able to maintain a steady air stream while jumping up and down. Must have really strong abs.
