Josh500 1,620 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Okay, I am not going to watch this stupid nonsense. All 3 M:I movies have been such a waste of time and money... I doubt the 4th will be any different!
tharpdevenport 4 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 And he is only 49 years old.Jumping up & down on the couch and keeping Katie from escaping the house can really age a guy, ya know.
Marian Schedenig 11,694 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Too much videogame style to my taste. Not interested. It can't be better than MI:2 anyway.I haven't seen the trailers and don't know anything about the new movie, but I do hope that it's at least better than the abominable MI:2.
Luke Skywalker 2,383 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 The score at least will be.But i dont like the music in the trailers, i hope it does not reflect in the real product...

Maurizio 6,913 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Have you guys seen this? Giacchino posted it on his Tweeter:http://www.twitvid.com/FSW7Y

Jonesy 55 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 This time, a 60 minute album should be enough.
Luke Skywalker 2,383 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 as long as the complete score leaks...
gkgyver 1,647 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Probably a good movie to have some sheer dumb fun.And hearing the M:I theme in various guises is never a bad thing.
Demondm810 473 Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Looking forward to this, the last score was great.
QMM 4 Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Two clips are upThe second clip was the last cue I heard. Some really great stuff in that sequence.
A24 5,156 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Mission Impossible 4 (Brad Bird) trailer looks good. From the sight of it, it seems they Bourned it up a bit. OTOH, now everything is Bourne: Bourne, Bond, Mission Impossible ...Alex
A24 5,156 Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 On the whole, I consider myself a fan of the better Hollywood film. My DVD collection consist mostly of 'classic' American films. I'm also a fan of the first Bourne film (second one was good, third one just okay) and I feel a Bourne vibe coming off the trailer of MI4. The trailer and the fact that it's directed by Brad Bird makes me think it could be a good better than average action movie. I like the first film of Mission Impossible too, BTW. The new film looks better than MI2 or MI3.Alex
Matt C 605 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 Another clip, this one of .I'm not sure whether laugh or yell "Catfight! Catfight!"
MSM 194 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Too much videogame style to my taste. Not interested. It can't be better than MI:2 anyway.I haven't seen the trailers and don't know anything about the new movie, but I do hope that it's at least better than the abominable MI:2.You are sure you didn;t mean MI:3 there? I can't see why MI:2 would be abominable, there is a good tension build-up, a pretty good story, a good balance in the action sequences and wonderful cinematography. Even the score is ok.
Charlie Brigden 7 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 M:I-2 is pretty terrible, but the last half an hour is awesome for sheer ridiculousity. M:I-3 is also bad, but it has a good action scene where it isn't just The Cruiser.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 1 is very good. 2 is confusing and over the top, but fun. Never bothered with 3.
Jay 46,242 Posted December 5, 2011 Author Posted December 5, 2011 Since the OST is supposedly supposed to come out in 8 days and the official Varese site still has no artwork or track list, I'm assuming it's going to be delayed. This is the same pattern that Super 8 and both seasons of Fringe went through.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 It's the same pattern that every release through Varese goes through these days. I'd preferably like to listen to a film's respective score when the film is in theaters, not a month later after I've moved on to something else. But hey, without them most current scores wouldn't see the light of day, so I can't complain.

Brónach 1,330 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 Great!I'm pumped for this for some reason.
Jonesy 55 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 A 76 minute CD is a bit long, but it isn't bad
Matt C 605 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I'm getting tired of these 'clever' track titles. Christopher Young does this kind of thing wonderfully (especially with Species and The Core), but Giacchino just tries too hard.
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted December 7, 2011 Posted December 7, 2011 I agree, it gets annoying after awhile, however this method DOES decrease the chance of getting spoiled by the tracktitle.

The only effort is to have fun I suspect.
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 What about Williams?"Keeping Up With the Joneses"?

Luke Skywalker 2,383 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 They cant. They sound like the search for the jokes. Some are very far-fetched...
crocodile 9,724 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Can we find ourselves some real problems, people? Fucking track titles? Seriously?Karol
BLUMENKOHL 1,110 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Can we find ourselves some real problems, people? Fucking track titles? Seriously?KarolThey're the most important part of my life. Track titles.
Jonesy 55 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 20. World's Worst Parking Valet (5:03)Another track titled "World's Worst..."
gkgyver 1,647 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 "Music by the World's Worst Next John Williams: Michael Giacchino"
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 "In Russia, Phone Dials You" is the best one yet
Luke Skywalker 2,383 Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 "Fucking track titles?"Literally, that IS sick...
Maurizio 6,913 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 First preview clips from the OST:http://www.cinemamusica.de/1700/ethan-hunt-in-russland-dubai-und-indien-unterwegs
crocodile 9,724 Posted December 11, 2011 Posted December 11, 2011 Sounds like a work of a much more confident composer than 5 years ago. A bit more eclectic and ethnic than the previous one, but that's what Schifrin's music was all about. It's a buy.Karol
