Koray Savas 2,260 Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 This'll keep Malick busy for another decade.
A24 5,156 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 He realizes times does not stand still for him so he will make them fast. He's got to leave a few more flicks behind for his legacy. People do crazy things when they realize they are running out of time. Mark my words, soon Malick will announce he'll be making Badlands 2.Alex - looking forward to it
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 I think that describes Ridley Scott, not Malick I'm interested to see how it all turns out. This is the busiest he's ever been in his whole career, and it's the first time he has reused actors. Penn in The Tree Of Life was a first.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 That actually has some good production values. I expect to see it on SyFy
A24 5,156 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 http://www.firstshowing.net/2012/watch-insanely-weird-trailer-for-beyond-the-black-rainbow-sci-fi/
A24 5,156 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 It's set in 1983, Steef.But I know what mean.
Jay 46,243 Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Wow that was literally one of the weirdest trailers I've ever seen. Looks interesting. Would be cool if those 2 actors are the only ones in the entire movie (But I saw a third actor's name at the end)
Quintus 6,495 Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 So now directors are rebooting their own movies, and within five years of their last?Just shoot me now.
Quintus 6,495 Posted February 14, 2012 Author Posted February 14, 2012 You used 'em all up trying to blow off your dick?
Jay 46,243 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Check out Johnny Depp in Burton's new film:http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/fash-track/johnny-depp-dark-shadows-twilight-robert-pattinson-vampires-283729
Delorean90 47 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Apparently it's not actually a true reboot--it'll be a sequel that follows the continuity of the previous three but will largely (completely?) dispense with the main live action cast...if I'm understanding this right.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 It's set in 1983, Steef.But I know what mean.The look is wrong for the 80's. It's late 60's, early 70's psychedelia...
indy4 160 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Check out Johnny Depp in Burton's new film:http://www.hollywood...vampires-283729Wow, this looks awesome. Can't wait!
A24 5,156 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 No trailer yet? I hope it's going to be one of those good Tim Burton movies (Ed Wood, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Sweeney Todd). The topic seems to be right up his alley. I'm looking forward to this (even though that thingy he did for Disney was horrible).Alex
indy4 160 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Yeah, Burton is pretty unpredictable. But even if the movie's no good, you can almost always expect some impressive art direction and a great main title cue by Danny Elfman.
A24 5,156 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 New photos from Andrew Dominik's Cogan's Trade.http://www.slashfilm...m+%28%2FFilm%29
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I forgot about that. Is it coming out this year??
Quintus 6,495 Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 http://www.firstshowing.net/2012/watch-insanely-weird-trailer-for-beyond-the-black-rainbow-sci-fi/Ugh, that looks like it'd really, really irritate me. Dreadful. I don't want to see conspicuous 'homages' to the masters of the genre thank you very much. This looks so try-hard it's cringy.I think I'll watch the real deal instead, if the mood takes me.
A24 5,156 Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 I forgot about that. Is it coming out this year??Oh yes.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Definitely going to the theater for this one.
Xander Harris 9,674 Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 Jesus Christ. Aside from some extra weight, Johnny Depp looks no different in those photos than he did in the early 90s. I thought he got old and fat a couple years ago? Maybe it was for a role.I hope I age that well.
A24 5,156 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 I don't need Will Smith to kick ass any longer.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 We need a movie version of The Fresh Prince of Bell Air.
Incanus 5,890 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 We need a movie version of The Fresh Prince of Bell Air.Indubitably!(I have always wanted to use that word so I just went for it as I saw an opening)
A24 5,156 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 Don't worry, I'm sure he'll be fine in Blade Runner sequel.Since Michael Fassbender is Scott's latest numero uno, I can't say that I'm worrying.
A24 5,156 Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 No, he won't. And no, he doesn't have that replicant cool. He's simply not Ridley's type of actor.Yes.Yes.No!
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 The trailer for The Dictator. seems like it might be fun.
A24 5,156 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Andrew Dominik's film Cogan's Trade with Brad Pitt is now changed into Killing Them Softly.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 What will be the running time? 24 minutes? 240 minutes? 2.4 hours?
Jay 46,243 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Not justifying it at all. Just pointing out that they aren't inventing a son he never had 4 films later.Obviously I wish the series had stopped after 3 films like any sane person
Matt C 605 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Christopher Nolan's longtime cinematographer Wally Pfister is getting set to direct his feature film debut, from a screenplay by new writer Jack Paglen. The movie is untitled for the time being (the plot is under wraps too), but it's being fast-tracked for an early fall shooting date. Alcon Entertainment is producing the film, where it has a distribution deal with Warner Brothers.http://www.deadline.com/2012/03/alcon-sets-helming-debut-for-dark-knight-rises-cinematographer-wally-pfister/Will he follow his close friend and hire Zimmer to score? Or will Pfister go for a more orchestral composer?
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 New poster for Wrath Of The Titans.Prepare!underwhelming.
