stewdog1 50 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 He has a pretty cool blog when he posts to it. See the mention in this post about the score to Conan and then his final comment about the complete score to Hunt for Red October.http://johneaves.wordpress.com/2012/05/14/conan-the-30th-anniversarry/I'll assume most of you know who he is.
Trent B 354 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 What does he do?Don't you know your Star Trek? He's the big wig that comes up with all the design sketches for Trek. You'd be surprised a lot of the people involved for Trek likes the Star Trek scores as well as other scores. Dough Drexler does as does Rick Sternbach on Facebook. I'm friends with Rick and he always answers questions for people who ask, he's awesome.
MrJosh 1,205 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Who else famous loves film scores? Doesn't Spielberg film the entire recording sessions? He should release those on Bluray.

Wojo 2,458 Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I'll assume most of you know who he is.Never heard of himDon't feel bad, I consider myself a big Trek fan and I had never heard of him by name either, though I have heard of Rick Sternbach because I have the 1701-D blueprints. It's not like Eaves is a designer that had something common named after him -- Jefferies tube anyone? -- is he?

He has created many of the designs in Star Trek from TNG through ENT. Among many other things.
