Love this game!

Great game!! How about this ditty?:

mini_563070horner.png

Is it Rachmaninoff's 1st symphony? Or a use of the Danger Motif by James Horner?

Damn I hate that I can't play this on my phone.

Well, 8 is:

Quidditch 2004, from "Prisoner of Azkaban."

3 is:

"The City," from "Psycho" (many other cues from that score have this same section)

7 is:

Measures 14-15 from "The Simpsons" Main Theme

6 looks like:

American Symphony from "Mr. Holland's Opus"

And I"m not sure what 4 is from, but...

It looks like something by Horner. He uses that little harmonic pattern in just about every score he's ever written. It's all over Titanic, and ST2 as well. May NOT be Horner, but that's my guess.

I think I got these. Hidden in white.

1: Hunger Games Horn of Plenty

4: Batman (Elfman)?

5: Lost (Giacchino)

And I agree on the past answers.

Posted

1 & 5 are good !

4 's incorrect

Posted

I would say, you're right !

Posted

Argh, that's what I thought it was!!

Got some more?

Most of the time, i can identify it by looking at the type of sheet music. For example, Back to the Future.

Posted

Yep, know what you mean !

Orchestrator's handwriting already says a lot, same for the typeset style

And quality of image should be a good indicator of year, but certainly not always. And now so much is done in Finale/Sibelius, it loses a bit of the magic.

So there two remain to be found :

4 is "Tinker-Tin"

Don't know any of the others. Must say it's pretty difficult without knowing the tempo, instrumentation, or even clef in some cases!

Nice selection! I am not sure about 3, 5 and 10 (especially the last one... what is that???). The others should be (answers in white color):

1. Saving Private Ryan - Revisiting Normandy

2. Seven Years in Tibet - Leaving Ingrid

4. Tintin - Tinker-Tin

6. Minority Report - A New Beginning

7. E. T. - I don't recall the name of the cue, but it is the one which plays when Elliot gets drunk (maybe "Elliot gets drunk" ?)

8. Revenge of the Sith - Immolation

9. Schindler's List - Typing the List

All good 35.gif

( I began to think nobody was inspired by those )

And the exact cue name for 7. is E.T. raids the icebox ;)

Right, of course, now I remember (but I had identified the right scene!).

Still no idea about the last one... while I am not sure about 3 and 5, those figurations are quite common. It is clear that, in n.3, the three staves represented are first and second violins, and violas, while I guess that in the sketch we are seeing winds, trombones in the second staff (then horns) and three trumpets in the third staff... but I cannot identify the score. Could you maybe give some (sheet music) hint? :)

3.

Can't remember the name of the cue, but I believe it's from Star Wars

5.

The Mine Car Chase from Temple of Doom

No idea about 10!
