Jay 46,242 Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Ah yes, I remember that all! He never did answer any questions after that first one. Look at this intro where he promises that he will!https://www.facebook.com/notes/peter-jackson/question-1/10150267552216558
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 The most pressing one would be: why did you throw out half the score?
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 What on earth would Gollum do in the second or even third film?
Jay 46,242 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 There was talk that PJ would film Gandalf and Aragorn hunting Gollum and include it in Film 3. There's no guarantee Film 3 ends where the book does, you know
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I KNOW.But I trust that even PJ knows ending the film with THAT would be anticlimatic.
Jay 46,242 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Who said he'd stick it at the end of the film? Could be his Film 3 opening flash-forward!
Muad'Dib 2,059 Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I keep having this idea that Jackson will let Smaug live to participate in the Battle of the Five Armies, but it doesn't seem logical... Although it would a cool idea, I hope he sticks with the book in this case, considering Smaug's death is what provoques the Battle, so...Quite mixed feelings about said idea.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Smaug will die like in the book. At least at the same point in time. Philippa Boyens more or less confirmed that half a year ago.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 a lot can happen in 6 months. The third film will end with Gollum tortured in Mordor screaming "SHIRE..BAGGINGS!!!"
Quintus 6,495 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 In a epic, underground multistorey network of holes in the vast plains of Middle-Eartian ground, there lived an enormous population of backstory bloated Hobbits
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 That would be the novelization of a film based on a book, right? What the hell?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I would read that, if its not too long
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 So, just watched the live stream of PJ's Q&A and sneakpeek at DOS, and in the High fells scene preview, I believe that the very end of the cue "The Edge of the Wild" with the loud string hit, would sync up with Radagast startling Gandalf, if that is the scene that cue belongs to.
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Except for one thing, Steven Colbert sent a video question to PJ, basically asking if there would be more kinds of elves shown in DOS, Jackson said yes, which piques my curiosity to see what Shore/Plan 9/Newton Howard come up with and Jackson and Stephen Fry mentioned something about the stream being a DVD extra, perhaps the AUJ EE? or DOS TE...also more Vblogs are confirmed!
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Or he will have him take the choir that played under Thranduil in the prolouge and elongate it with paulstretch
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Tauriel is interrogating an orc? lol What do they talk about?
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 "You like killing things orc?" "You like Death?" "Then let me give it to you".
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I just listened to my recording the line actually goes:"You like killing things Orc?" "You like Death?" "Then let me give it to you!"Not sure if its much better but...
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Why blame Jackson?I'm pretty sure Walsh and Boyens have main custody of the script. But seriously, you include an invented gal like Tauriel, and have her interrogating orcs with lines like that? What the fuck, people?
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Lets hope they see the light and ADR MUCH better lines in.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Like "You like to get out of here, orc?" "What do I need to do?" "Let me show you ..."Followed by Howard Shore's re-recording of "Evenstar", now a general "Elven Love" theme? alicebrallice 1
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Or how about a gentle, oboe d'amore version of the Isengard theme?
Incanus 5,890 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I have to check this out when I get back home today. Thanks Messenger! Like "You like to get out of here, orc?" "What do I need to do?" "Let me show you ..."Followed by Howard Shore's re-recording of "Evenstar", now a general "Elven Love" theme?I think that would call for funkier music than Evenstar. Some sleazy saxophone and electric bass riffs. It would be the first foray into Orkish love music.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Cue "Pillow Talk" from Basic Instinct.
BloodBoal 8,711 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 And the videos have been taken down. You should have watched them when you had the chance, Inky!
Incanus 5,890 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Darnation! But some of us have to work and can't watch videos all day BloodBoal! And so we miss all the good stuff.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Ah, I think for the good stuff, you'll need to wait for the release of the film
Jay 46,242 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 So "The High Fells Scene" means the scene where Gandalf explores the Nazgul tombs and realized they have been burst open and the Nazgul are gone, right? And he bumps into Radagast there?Did they confirm that this was intended to be in AUJ and moved at the last minute to TDOS? Did they also confirm my theory that it will now be the prologue of TDOS?
gkgyver 1,647 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 It was in the trailer for AUJ, and the score for it is on the OST, so to me it is pretty obvious it was originally there.
