I'm talking about cues that only still exist in DVD rear channel rips or real shitty boots. If it's on clean boots/leaked sessions/Star Wars game files it doesn't count

Film cues:

1-Rescuing Sirius from PoA

2-Winter Comes from PoA (just for the transition of Hedwig's Theme into Window to the Past)

3-Casting the Patronus from PoA (the awesome fanfare version of the Past theme)

4-Choir cue when some kid dies at the end of Empire of the Sun

5-Carriage/Travelling motif in Dracula (appears 2-3 times in the film, all unreleased)

6-Yoda's Departure from Revenge of the Sith

7-Padme's Visit part 2 from Revenge of the Sith

8-Search for the Blue Fairy film version in A.I.

9-Docking the Space Station fanfare in Spacecamp

10- Hedwig's Theme HPSS Teaser Trailer 1 version (presumably destroyed)

Various works:

E.T. Botanicus (Theme park music)

Marion's Theme 2008 concert version

Irina's Theme 2008 concert version

A few "concert pieces/TV themes:

NBC rodeo theme

Olympic bumpers based on Olympic Fanfare and Theme

With everything that's surfaced in the past 3 years the list sure is a lot shorter than it used to be

There might be something from Tintin that's noteworthy but I can't remember right now

Posted

yes, I remember vaguely the movie but it's when a japanese kid dies near the end of the movie and the character played by Christian Bale starts crying or something

Posted

"You bred Raptors?"

"The trouble with Dennis"

Untitled JP cue

Sirius Rescue

The T-Rex / High Hide

The micro-edited out portion of The never-feast

Dark Dreams- (POA)

Saving Sarah - full cue

Mostly minor cues, but still very effective ones at that.

Posted

I want every unreleased cue from Revenge of the Sith. Essentially, I want an "Ultimate Recording" version of Revenge of the Sith, like the one The Phantom Menace had. It's my favorite of the prequel scores.

Posted

Just Marion and Irina's concert themes.

Oh and the end credits Raptor theme from the Jurassic Park J E Jones documentary and the punchy end credits version of The Lost World's theme, but they may well already exist and I just haven't noticed.

Posted

I think this is my TOP 10:

1.

(CE3K)

2.

(Last Crusade)

3.

(Last Crusade)

4.

(Last Crusade)

5.

(Last Crusade)

6. The Child Returns (The Temple Of Doom)

7. More Sacrifice (The Temple Of Doom)

8. The Rescue Of Sirius (The Prisoner Of Azkaban)

9. The Trouble With Dennis (Jurassic Park)

10. Revisiting Padme (Revenge Of The Sith)

I'm less concerned about unreleased cues than I am unreleased scores (meaning scores that have had no release whatsoever). Never been much into separate cue listening. I'm more of an album lover -- the 'concept album' idea.

Tell us more...

I want the source music heard on Jabba's sail barge and the missing Last Crusade tracks.

Posted

I would add to the already mentioned tracks:

- We're Looking Good!

- Scherzo for Today

- Jurassic Park fanfare like cue underscoring the Jack Horner documentary part in The Making of JP. Wasn't used in the movie.

- Entering the Hall from HP:SS.

- Troll in the Dungeons from HP:SS

Your list looks a bit "obsolete"

In what sense?

As in most of those cues have been released, SS sessions, NBC promo.

SS sessions? Officially? I only have a bootleg with sound effects. NBC promo has terrible sound quality. I want a proper re-recording :) And what about the other cues?

The SS sessions have no SFX from what I know, the NBC promo I have sounds good to me..

Wow, Faleel! I never knew there was a clean recording of that music! I knew it probably wasn't by Williams, and definitely not made for JP specifically either way, but I remember liking it, haha. :D

Its by Tony Hymas, on his album Landscapes, so if you want to buy it...

special thanks to Chuck McKnight for pointing it out on The Raven forums.

While it does have the first part of that cue in the documentary, the second part you hear in the documentary appears to be some other piece of music. I wonder what that other one is? You'll notice it around 12:26. Also, I believe there is another piece of music in that documentary people were seeking, too. Will have to find where at though.

Oh thats music by some other composer, its like trailer music.

Thanks Faleel, it's good music :) This Tony Hymas seems to be a versatile guy.

I'd like to have the one from Jabba's palace, and the film and English versions of "Lapti Nek" as well.

Posted

Hm maybe I am. Where do I get these SS sessions?

It helps if your a Final Fantasy fan

Posted

Of the top of my head:

Amber Mine/Badlands (this might be on the 30th ann.)

"Must Go Faster!" ( " )

Big wave music ( " )

"I have Decided NOT To Endorse Your Park" ( " )

Miles' Pool Hall (film versions).

Main Title "Earthquake" (film version).

"I Can Bring Anyone Back" from "EOTS".

Daedelus Docking from "SpaceCamp".

The Doors Close from "POA".

"Troll In The Dungeon!"

The music heard on the boy's headphones in "TTI".

All 27 versions of Lapti Nek.

Jabba's Sail barge stuff.

Dracula's Arrival at Dr. Seward's House.

Dracula's Death (film version).

Translating The Stone (At Donovan's Home).

"Ark" music from "TLC.

Inside The Mothership has already been released. It's on Pops In Space.

The first two are on the 20th anniversary...if the 3rd is when Malcolm sees the ripples, it's also in the 20th. Isn't the 4th available on the OST?

Sorry I dont get it...since I am not a fan (I do like the movie Spirits Within though)

Just google the respective keywords and you will be richly rewarded.

I'm actually talking about the music when they board the helicopter, at the end.

The music is taken from another cue, which is on the OST, I believe its part of A tree For My Bed, or Remembering Petticoat Lane.

Miles' Pool Hall (film versions).

Main Title "Earthquake" (film version).

The music heard on the boy's headphones in "TTI".

Some good shouts there from Williams's 1970's disaster movies. If we were to ignore film versions of cues represented on the re-recorded Earthquake album, my most wanted unreleased music from that film is:

Slade Meets Rosa

The Aftermath

The National Guard

Graff Beneath Wilson Plaza

Similarly The Eiger Sanction has loads of great unreleased music for the climbing scenes, especially the action music for the scene where Montaigne is struck by falling rocks. The film version of the main title music would be great too.

Come on City!

Posted

I just realized that I do have some singular cues that I want to have recorded and released. Not film tracks, but a few of the commercially unreleased fanfares:

Fanfare for Ten-Year-Olds

Fanfare for Michael Dukakis

Evening at Pops

Fanfare for Fenway

Winter Games Fanfare (full orchestral version)

We're Looking Good (full orchestral version)

Celebration Fanfare

Esplanada Overture

Some of them have bootleg recordings, but that doesn't count.

Posted

Wasn't the Winter Games Fanfare only written for brass and percussion?

Posted

"Troll In The Dungeon!"

This is obsolete. There are 'SS sessions' released...

Posted

I watched The Lost World today for the first time in a few years while following Jason's excellent cue breakdown. My favourite unreleased cues (that are heard in the movie) are:

- Corporate Choppers

- Spilling Petrol

- Pain of Glass

- the complete Truck Stop/Rescuing Sarah

- Reading the Map

- Rialto Ripples

It is truely mindboggling that JW microedited that brass fanfare and the T-Rexes appearing out of Rescuing Sarah for the OST. I can't fathom what his logic behind it was.

Posted

Hmm, I should listen to these

for some reason I never paid attention to TLW unreleased music

Posted

I think the original version was for full orchestra. The Denver Brass recording was an adaptation.

Posted

so if they are unreleased how do you know what the titles are?

Posted

What are you talking about? Most of the titles posted in the thread are made-up titles, since we have no clue what the original title would be

There are some that we do know the real title from the sheet music being available, but that's the exception and not the rule

Posted

you answered my question, they are made up titles. and the titles used on the sheet music may or may not be the titles as we've seen when they get to CD they often have a new name.
