BLUMENKOHL 1,110 Posted April 29, 2013 Posted April 29, 2013 Love it Joey! Add some corn and finely chopped celery. Fucking to die for.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted April 29, 2013 Author Posted April 29, 2013 Who are you trying to impress? Joe is taken!
Wojo 2,458 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Seeing the egg so close to ketchup reminds me: does anyone else like omlettes with ketchup?I almost always put either ketchup or salsa on my scrambled eggs/ omelettes.Me too! Ketchup on eggs, whether they be scrambled, omelets, or sunny-side up, is something we've always done in our family since my siblings and I were young. Though nowadays I prefer salsa or Frank's, which is ketchup for grownups. I'll also put ketchup (or hot sauce) on macaroni and cheese, though usually only if it's cheap or leftovers. But tuna on a pizza is...something I wouldn't touch.
Jay 46,244 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Yea Marcy puts ketchup on mac and cheese too.... I had never even heard of doing so before. It's not bad.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 My ex used Ketchup with pasta, rice, vegetables, everything.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I was joking on tuna and ketchup, though my co-worker did that a few weeks back and it was all I could do not to have projectile vomit. I just went to the next level by putting it on pizza. We have a local place that makes mac and cheese pizza, disgusting, baked potato pizza, I can eat one slice with sour cream but that's it.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 It's okay. Has an odd taste with no where near the amount of drinkability as traditional milk.Speaking of, I only drink skim milk. Looks like I'm the only one here. Skim milk, traditional milk, you say?All skim milk I've seen looks like white paint with water. Even "whole milk" seems to be missing the cream aspect I'd like to have.Traditional as in cow milk. Skim as in my preference if I'm just drinking a glass. If you need milk for shakes or baking, the ones with fat are better.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 mashed potatoes are best made with whole milk, half and half or whipping cream. Naturally real butter and if using margarine use Land O'Lakes margarine. never use any of that spread shit(Crock, I can't believe it's not butter, etc), in fact if you have it in your fridge, throw it out now.I'm craving a Gyro.what I will get will be the best possible facimile of one but it's the best I can do in this area.
Wojo 2,458 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I love the videos that show margarine on the fire. The container melts before the "food."
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 I love the videos that show margarine on the fire. The container melts before the "food."yeah that's scary, real margarine would melt, but all this spread stuff won't.unless it says margarine it's not. almost all the spreadable products do not say margarine or butter and if they don't they arn't.it's like Chocolate, if it doesn't say Chocolate, or it says chocolaty, then it's not chocolate. if the ingredients say palm oil and not coco butter, it's not chocolate.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I was always disgusted by our "buttery flavoring" when I worked at the movie theater. It was just straight up oil and people soaked their popcorn in that shit. Bleh.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 Having vegetarian schnitzels when i get home. Still deciding on what to add with it.
Jay 46,244 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Gonna grill up some kielbasa, zuccini, squash, and asparagus for dinner tonight and serve with some brown rice

#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 I bought a load of them, and often I don't have time in the morning, so.
Jay 46,244 Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 hard boiled eggs are awesome. I need to boil some more often. I like them in my salads at lunch time.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 I love soft boiled. I never eat cold eggs.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted May 6, 2013 Author Posted May 6, 2013 Vegetarian schnitzel with pepper/cream filling, cuccumber salad and baby tomotoes.Plus an egg and a glass or organic full fat milk
Jay 46,244 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Had dinner at a wedding last night, and it was probably the best wedding food I've had. Usually most weddings are one of the same 5 boring dishes that all taste the same, but the buffet last night was quite good. And there was even a nacho bar at the end of the night in honor of Cinco De Mayo Tonight Marcy and making a Basil Pesto from scratch and serving with Butternut Squash over pasta.
Ren 77 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I have a great recipe for that exact dish. Too bad I have little ambition to cook today.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 t bones and baked potatoes, corn on the cobb. Like Stefan and his egg with each meal we have corn.
BLUMENKOHL 1,110 Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Stefan are you just labeling your meats as vegetarian? Or are you actually eating vegetarian?
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I've been planning to buy a new grill, and now I will have to buy a new grill as my current one died tonight.I will get a combo smoker grill so I can grill and barbeque
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Stefan are you just labeling your meats as vegetarian? Or are you actually eating vegetarian? Several days a week I obstain from meat.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted May 7, 2013 Author Posted May 7, 2013 Its called being a flexitarian.I actually enjoy my slab of bacon more this way.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 tonight I'll roast a chicken but I will split it underneath and lay the whole chicken flat in my roasting pan. It cooks faster and all the skin gets nice and crispy.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted May 8, 2013 Author Posted May 8, 2013 Cherry tomatoes, cuccumber salad and ementaller cheese. With aioli and sambal.
Jay 46,244 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Going to make tofu fajitas tonightLast night had a $4 hot dog at the movie theater cause I didn't plan ahead for Iron Man 3
Wojo 2,458 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I had a bacon cheese dog at Five Guys yesterday. I'll stick to their burgers from now on. Yes, as their burgers stick to my arteries, I know.
Jay 46,244 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I love Five Guys. Would never consider getting a hot dog there though.I can't believe they haven't added shakes to the menu. That's the one thing they SHOULD add.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 we have a five guys, Dave likes it. I got my arteries unclogged when I paid $27 dollars for two burgers, fries, and two cokes. their fries have the skin on so Dave got to eat them all.We have a Whimpie's that cost the same but the burgers are bigger than Five Guys, but the fries were no better. I just get a double cheeseburger with bbq sauce, eat half and take the rest home to the dogs.
Wojo 2,458 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I wanted to try one. The guy in line in front of me vouched for it. I was hungry sooner. It wasn't worth 5.69.
Jay 46,244 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Wow, even more than my movie theater hot dog last night. though that didn't come with bacon and cheese

Wojo 2,458 Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 Stefan is saving moneyIs that why he wants to know how the cicada swarm will taste? We can FedEx him a few thousand, he'd have food for days.
