When I watched the poster, I thought for a second that Alan Rickman was part of the cast. Big (if short) WTF? moment.

Battleship was Transformers 4

Speaking Michael Bay: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot poster

TMNT was the first movie I saw alone with friends at 4th grade.

I fear what this might turn out!!

(well, we already know how the score is gonna be)

I thought MIchael Bay and Meghan Fox had a falling out?

they've mended their fences.

I can't stand the turtles, but I have to say, that is a good poster!

Levine's a fiercely smart and creative guy and I reckon he'll do a better job crossing over than his big name Hollywood equivalents who have for a few years now been getting hired to knock up complete tripe for games.

I think this is the first movie I have ever had any inside info about :)

The idea of a film about mankind inventing giant robots to fight giant monsters is about as silly as an near indestructible alien who can fly, being raised on earth with an obvious secret identity who battles bad guys, aliens and creatures.

But as long as it entertains, right?

sadly the last film about a man raised on earth who can fly did not entertain

I'm counting on Pacific Rim to be more entertaining. The bar for Superman was set too high in 1978.

I've got my sites squarely on World War Z, I've gone from thinking utter bomb to redeemed blockbuster.

Yeah, but you like giant robots doing kung-fu with Godzilla. To you that is cool. You're probably still in your Power Rangers phase.

Nope I'm just not some uptight snob who looks down on everyone because of their choices for entertainment.

I love the sound Godzilla makes.

Saw this trailer in front of Man Of Steel last night and thought it looked pretty good

Never seen Harrison Ford with a shaved head before!!!!

The other trailers we got where World War Z, Pacific Rim, RIPD, and something else I forget. No Desolation of Smaug trailer, sadly (probably because it was a 2D showing)

Posted

RIPD,

now if any film looks so bad, this is it.

Posted

I had definitely never seen the trailer or even heard of the movie before the trailer was playing in front of me last night

Posted

Koray posted two trailers, you commented on one of them, not sure if you watched the other.

Wow, Runner Runner looks pretty cool! Only because I know all about the poker world. If I didn't it would probably look dumb to me

Posted

That Paranoia movie doesn't look good at all. I saw a really good trailer for Elysium in front of Man of Steel. That movie looks phenomenal.

Posted

Meh, it's a non-story.

Posted

actually it is a very interesting story. Maybe a saturation point has been reached where people are going to say wait a minute the level of violence and destruction has reached a point that enough is enough.

Posted

It does make me think there must be some particularly extreme cartoony ultra violence in the film for Carrey to suddenly have a moral crisis.

Posted

He should be apologetic for trying to make a sequel to Dumb and Dumber.

That looks hilarious. After Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and 21 Jump Street, I have faith in these guys.

Pacific Rim has an extended preview in the Under the Dome premeire. It featured a speech that pretty much was stolen from Independence Day.

Posted

Well Bill Pullman's speech in ID4 was pretty much the best moment in the whole film.

Was it Elba's "cancelling the apocalypse" speech?

At least that actor makes it sound cool.

I like Elba a lot but Pullman did it better.

Yeah those 44 seconds really let you know what the film is going to be like.

Actually, those 44 seconds don't tell me what the film is going to be like, and as it is a Ridley Scott film that's not named The Duellists, Blade Runner or Alien, and as it is a genre/setting I don't have a lot of interest in per se, I'm passing so far.

I'm not a fan of Penélope Cruz either.

Oooh Ridley has a new composer onboard, Daniel Pemberton.

Posted

And we posted some of Pembertons past work and it sounded good.

Gotta love Asylum and their copycat films.

OMG the effects look not terrible.
