Bart 0 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 From HPANAThe owners of Magic Box, a company that creates music for film and television, are pictured with John Williams on their site's news page. The team is working on a new trailer for Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban:John Sponsler and Tom Gire previously contributed to the trailers for the first two Potter movies. Williams scored the soundtrack
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Uhm...what?Marian -
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 The truth is finally out. They wrote Something Wicket This Way Comes.
Bart 0 Posted February 10, 2004 Author Posted February 10, 2004 The text with the picture says this:John and Tom had the privilege of contributing to the ?Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban? campaign. Here they are at the Sony Scoring Stage with the Maestro himself, Mr. John Williams. So, nothing to worry about... Williams composed SWTWC, I think... But what did the Magic Box?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 I bet they are the ones that actuaslly wrote Hedwig's Theme, when it was used in the trailer for the first Potter film.WE HAVE BEEN BETRAYED, WE HAVE BEEN SO TERRIBLE BETRAYED!
Ray Barnsbury 8 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 I don't get it, it says on their site that they've composed for all three HP trailers . . that can't be right, unless they actually created Hedeig's Theme. LOL Ray Barnsbury
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 They probably just edited the music or something. Show-offs.- Marc
Ren 77 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 yup, just needed to get their hands in the pie. . . .LOL
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,388 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Ren, you are being raunchy again.
King Mark 3,975 Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Well this means we get new music in the new trailer too.Good.This also indicates he's very "hands on" on the new Potter film.Since he's apperently not rushed in his schedual with other projects ,I expect a quality score.Hmmm,Williams must be close to finshing composing the score by now too, since they record it in March.K.M.
Bart 0 Posted February 12, 2004 Author Posted February 12, 2004 Isn't that very very fast for writing an almost two hour score?
King Mark 3,975 Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 What bothers me about this Magic Box picture with 2 composers(or whatever they do) is that it make it seem that now John Williams is a company who has people doing his scores for him, like some alternate Media Ventures. And JW can write scores in about 2 months,so if he started around new year he should be well into it.K.M.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 John actually started writing before the new year had begun.
