Well,I think this might be interesting .

Stubborn LotR fans who think the LotR trilogy is the pinnacle of movie making and film scoring and will defend that opinion to the death.

12 year old Potter fans who belong in the Harry Potter Alliance against Darfur...!!^squeefart! Harry -Hermione shipper

Star Wars fans who worship George Lucas as a god and have already seen The Clone Wars 5 times...

Those who dress up, e.g. like Darth Vader.

Prequel fans.

Because they insist on stubornly defending something that deserves no defense.

Concurred. The others out of this list do have something to be proud of, while those who love the prequels (not like, not tolerate, love) really don't. Except for the scores, which are certainly the best things about them.

I vote for the Lord of the Rings "fanboys" (not influenced whatsoever by my disdain for the films). To be honest, I actually found the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy much better upon watching all six films in the saga in chronological order (one film per night).

None of the above.

I find John Williams fanboys the most irritating. People who insist that JW scoring a movie will always give us a masterpiece and that no other composer alive can match him.

The endless AotC/WotW/etc bickering around here shows the truth in the first one.

Er......

All those kind of fans get on my nerves.

The SW purits too, and since lately, courtesy of Mr. Blank Space I could end becoming one, i wont vote ;)

I have never encountered a "Harry Potter fanboy" before (though I have encountered a "Harry Potter fangirl", who hated the films for the slightest deviation from the novels).

SW fanboys, because unlike LotR fanboys; they defend sh*t dressed up as hit.

And that's how LOTR earns a vote.

Strange. I don't like the first two much because of how closely they followed the book, and how little creative and general story liberties Columbus took to make the whole thing a little more exciting. I maintain he was the completely wrong director to handle Potter - I think he's got no imagination as a director at all. He just knows how to keep a bunch of kids in line.

The Star Wars fans who cannot form a single message without including a tar wars quote.. or referencing their love/hate for star wars..

you know what I mean:

"I was so nervous at my first driving lesson but I said to myself: Focus. Do it or do it not!"

But the worst are "Oh George, plase stop hurting us!" damn I can't hear that phrase anylonger..

and overall they are just whiny people from the age of 13 to the age of 70 who cannot stop bit**ing against "Lucas" and what he does and who think somebody actually this world has soo much serious problems

Worse than all of the above are cynical people who are annoyed by someone enjoying or defending something. I have no problem with "fanboys" of any stripe.

Yeah. If I leaned in any direction it might be the extreme tweenage Potter fans that shower places like Mugglenet with atrocious grammer, bad typing, and shallow thoughts.

I've never really been exposed to a lot of Potter fanatics. But I can imagine they would be pretty bad.

What about the people who don't get annoyed? What about the people who just like to annoy the fanboys? For fun. People like me

Forget the worst type of fanboy; the most pathetic (brilliant) type of fanboy is the breed that takes the bait in the first place. It's sad really, how some see it as their duty to defend their favourite franchise from any form of criticism, to the bitter end.

I love LotR and I'm fine with the fact that some peeps just don't get it. In fact I just couldn't give a sh*t either way.

oh yeah I forgot those Jerry Goldsmith fans

For some reason when Williams was still scoring the films, and when the news was coming out that he was leaving, I'd peek around there to see what was being said. It was scary.

If a character's eye color differed between the film and novel, she would get very angry.

That could pose a problem in the final movie though...

Anyway, Williams fan boys who think everything he touches is gold and anything anyone else does is vastly inferior (if in fact worth listening to at all) are just as annoying.

I voted other: The Star Wars (excluding prequels) fans.

The ones who can't stand the prequels just because they aren't quite as perfect as the originals.

Yup, there's a few of them here, which is a granted I suppose.

Other, 60s-80s fanboys.

The ones who think every modern film/score is inferior to those in the past.

I just don't plain understand a "love" for Episodes I-III or Kingdom Of the Crystal Skull. Sorry, indy4, but they truly are terrible films.

Oh, and I agree with your Other choice.

This is even more true! and when they reduce Williams to that.. its very sad, he souldnt have done geisha but HP 4: Just stupid!

Even though I'm not the biggest fan of Geisha, my appreciation for it has gone up a lot lately, and I have always considered it a good score.

I would have preferred JW picked HP 4, because A) I prefer all 3 HP scores over Geisha (though CoS is close) and B) by picking HP, JW would probably have been putting 5 more scores on his plate.

But I respect that as a creative artist, it was more enjoyable to do something different, so I respect his decision.

The crowd of people not knowing any music before Jaws is much greater 'round these parts. There's a great lot of treasures written between the 30s and the 60s.

You haven't seen the Godzilla fans in action yet. ;)

I have another "other" choice, fanboys who settle for mediocrity.

All of the above have nothing on Hans Zimmer fanboys.

"Some men can't be reasoned or argued with, some men just want to watch the world burn."

A close second are Star Wars fanboys who can't resist to include a pointless, derogative stab at Lord of the Rings in every single point of defense.
