Um, i'm seeing a lot of people recently changing their screen names. Most of the ties they retain the avatar, but if you dont notice the name change, and then the avatar is changed, you meet a totally new person, and that is odd...

 

SO i had the idea of creating this thread (like the avatar thread) so people can infrom of their new names.

 

It would be nice if eveyone who changed their names in the past dropped by and wrote a list of the names used in their history here, just be sure

 

Example: Name1/Name2/Name3 with the last one being the actual name.

Haha, I don't think I ever made the connection that Indysolo was Neil. I remember that screen name, but the change must have happened while I wasn't very active on the board. Also, Jay, I never realized you used to have a different screen name...no wonder I couldn't remember you when I came back around the time the Indy box set came out!

I have always been Datameister. I've thought about jumping on the real name bandwagon, but I do like to retain a modicum of anonymity when discussing recording sessions, leaked sheet music, and other regrettably illegal dealings. Not so much because of you guys - I mean, some of you know my full name anyhow - but because anyone could theoretically read these boards.

Did Mark O have a different handle back in the early 2000s? I don't remember that name as being one that's been around for ages, though I know he has.

I'd actually like to change my handle to something else, for the same reasons Data ratted off, and since my nick is synonymous with my real name in these parts (if you're on my FB, you know why), but I can't think of anything good. Besides, the IP don't lie.

When the photo doesn't load and you just get "Posted Image," hit Reply on the message to grab the URL of the image, and paste it into a new window.

My username is what it is. I've used it for my e-mail address when I got access to the internet the very first time, and used it as a username ever since.

Simplicity is a bliss.

I could change to my actual name, but I don't see the upside of rubbing your personal name under everybody's nose openly in the web.

I feel it is good to use an alternate name to have a fictitious "entity" to fight when there is an argument. I feel it takes away some of the personal aspect.
