King Mark 3,975 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Harry's theme would be a variation on the theme from Brokeback mountain
Jill Sandwich 11,166 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 A guitar version of "Hedwig's Theme". It'd be suitable for Harry and Ron by the great lake gazing at the giant squid and playing around with snails and oysters (mostly snails).
nightscape94 968 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 So, sorta like a Potter version of that bath scene from Spartacus?Tim
Elmo Lewis 7 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 So Daniel Radcliffe has just signed on to do all the rest of saga now. This should have made all the Mugglenets' day.
Ray Barnsbury 8 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Apparently, Emma Watson is the wild card of the three...can't imagine why she'd do five films and leave for the last two, though.Ray Barnsbury
Red 75 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Its not like that is very suprising. At this point, Harry Potter is all the kid has.
Jill Sandwich 11,166 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Besides that horse play... Ray BarnsburyCaligula?
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted March 3, 2007 Author Posted March 3, 2007 perhaps, but he's made more money in the last 6 years than almost anyone of us will ever make
AI 0 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Joe what a horribly fatalistic attitude you are portaying there to the younger members.Anyone ever heard of gambling? If you sack up you can make big $ .Always bet black
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Movie commentators had wondered (...) whether the raunchy publicity shots of Radcliffe for "Equus" would alienate him from his core fan base.Core fan base? You mean the 14-year-old girls? How would half-naked pictures of him alienate them? Either way, good for him. Rich bastard.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,387 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 If I wanna see naked men I'll just turn on the Spice Channel!

Half-naked?You're lucky he's a minor or you'd have a Harry Potter full frontal right below.-Ross, who has seen the wand.
King Mark 3,975 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Is Emma Watson going to do one of these plays too?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,387 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Now that's an interesting question. Will be be shown the naked breasts of a 16 year old girl!
John Crichton 4 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 The play and Radcliffe are apparently getting quite good reviews. And I thought this line from Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) was pretty funny:He's growing up. He's a proper theater actor now. He's naked in this thing, so all the girls will go out and see it. I'd be frightened running around the stage with nothing on at all. When you stop running, one thing keeps moving. I bet he didn't think of that.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,387 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Michael Gambon has a magnificently dry sense of humor.
BLUMENKOHL 1,110 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Am I the only one who is really excited an unknown is tackling Order of the Phoenix's score?Sure we could be very disappointed, but it's exciting to be expecting a new spin on things.I could predict another Williams or Doyle score, but I have no idea what to expect, so it really is exciting.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,387 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I remain cautiously optimistic. The fact that I never heard of this guy, does not automatically mean that he sucks. (whatever KM might think)
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I agree with Steef. The overall poor quality of the last film and book have somewhat put me off Potter, though, so I can't say I'm anticipating this as much as I was with the other ones (especially the first three).
fommes 165 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I think that with the last film they took the more mainstream, mediocre way. It just was another big film. I'm afraid this new guy will just go on in the same direction. I'd love it if he'd prove me wrong though.
John Crichton 4 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Eh, the only truly exciting Potter event is happening July 21, not July 13.Score wise, I'm willing to give the new guy a chance. But I'm more interested in you-know-who's Star Trek score than OotP's.
John Crichton 4 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 The first OotP advance screening reviews are coming out.http://www.aintitcool.com/node/31770 - Pretty positive from someone who's not a fan of the books, but thought GoF was the best one yet.http://www.mugglenet.com/app/news/full_story/704 - One of the Mugglenet kids, has major spoilers and points out some of the changes made from the book. And manages to go a whole article without a squee or a fart.Looks like the Dumbledore's Army stuff is the big winner, which is no surprise since it's probably the best stuff in the book too.
King Mark 3,975 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Who cares it won't have a JW score.K.M.Who'lll see it as another"movie of the week"
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted March 6, 2007 Author Posted March 6, 2007 I remain cautiously optimistic. The fact that I never heard of this guy, does not automatically mean that he sucks. (whatever KM might think)remember that what KM thinks is usually tempered by booze and prescription drugs.and mr mod, your quite wrong, the last movie was a huge bit better than the mexicans mistake, and there is nothing poor about the last book.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,387 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 That's a witty response.....
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Perhaps not, but I can scoff at other people's opinions too, you know.- Marc, who found movie 4 bogged down and incoherent and book 6 drawn-out and far too heavy on exposition.
John Crichton 4 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 What music was used in the advanced screenings?A question I'd like answered as well, though at this stage it was probably still temp tracked. There hasn't even been word of whether or not recording has begun/happened. None of the reviews I've read have even mentioned the music.
King Mark 3,975 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 It's because JW is secretly recording the score
Ray Barnsbury 8 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 There are a couple more fan reviews on Mugglenet. As usual, it's pretty exciting reading about all this....I've always thought there was a lot of cinematic potential in this book, and it sounds like they're getting at least some of it right. I was especially glad to read this:I especially liked the part when Shacklebolt tells Fudge that Dumbeldore has style when he disappears.I love Dumbledore's departure from Hogwarts in the book, and this indicated they've at least included it....I hope they do it justice!Ray Barnsbury
Damo 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 It's because JW is secretly recording the scoreHow do you know that?
Ollie 1,375 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 First Williams leaves and now Hermione????click
Ollie 1,375 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Has it?Well that saved a bunch of horny teenager boys from crying themselves to sleep.
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 That has been disproven.Has it?Well that saved a bunch of horny teenager boys from crying themselves to sleep. And me.
John Crichton 4 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Eh, she's gotten old enough to know how to pull the old "hold out for more money" trick.
Ollie 1,375 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Actually I was going to include horny men in my post but I didn't want to offend...
King Mark 3,975 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Hey i thought she was leaving to do a nude play like Dan Radcliffe...oh well
Kendal_Ozzel 36 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Yes, a post on MuggleNet seems to indicate that the story was false.
Morlock 12 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 I have a question (having little to do with anything discussed here). Is anyone else surpised at how little press the upcoming film has been getting? I mean it 's 3-4 months away, and aside from a couple of snippets, I've seen almost nothing, and certainly nothing substantial about the film.
Ollie 1,375 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Actually there are quite a few summer blockbusters that seem to be quiet as far as advanced press goes.
Morlock 12 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Well, I've been hearing and seeing a lot about Transformers, Spidey 3 and PoTC 3.
